Mighty Paw Slip Collar: Premium Stainless Steel Choke Collar for Effective No-Pull Dog Training Review

Everything is fine with this collar except that it does not do what it says it will not soil your dog's coat as you can see in the picture on my husky. The neck is black, the reason I bought this is because you promised so very disappointed with it.

Works well. I ordered a chamomile too small. I measured the neck according to the instructions and bought it. However, my pup has a tiny neck and a slightly large head and I had trouble getting the chain on and off. The purchase was refunded to me without any problems and I bought another network from this company, one size larger.

Working with two of my terriers and a great help. One piece of advice - at first I thought it was broken because it's a chain with a ring on each end. You need to thread the chain so that it looks like the photo. I thought one ring would slip through the other but it doesn't. Simply thread the chain through one of the loops/rings. Works perfectly!

UPDATE: I bought the 18" size a few months later and it fits me much better. The collar is well made and the only improvement I would recommend is making the links more rounded so the collar comes off easier when the dog stops pulling. The size chart is wrong. I bought the size 16" because my dog's neck is 13 1/2" long and almost impossible to snap.

This is a very durable collar that works well for controlling large dogs. I bought a 26" Bullmastiff collar and had to upgrade to a 30" collar so the collar could slip a bit to correct. A 26 inch collar will fit, but will always fit snugly around the dog's neck. Measure the thickest part of the dog's neck. Usually just behind the skull and add at least 2 inches to allow for collar length to correct. If in doubt, choose a larger size.

This slip collar is ideal for walkers/trainers who prefer slip collars. I have used many slip collars over the years but this one seems to be of high quality and very durable. It's made of stainless steel so it won't tarnish or rust. If you like using slip collars, this is a great option! I think you could order a size larger. I ordered the 18" and it's a bit tight but still great for my older jumper who still pulls! And I love how it fits in my pocket.

The collar appears to be well made and works well for training my Boston Terrier. Remember, I use the collar for training purposes only and take it off after completing our daily workout. I had to watch the video after receiving this item because like many other one star reviews I was amazed that both rings were the same size. I haven't seen anyone post a solution and I'm very surprised the manufacturer hasn't. Either way, you thread the chain through one of the rings yourself, and it looks like your dog's head is going through it. The rings must be the same size.
