Looking Good - Replacement Parts

I bought this air intake for my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. Everything screws on nicely, the baffle is a bit fiddly to install, but I used all the factory screws to get it working. I actually removed the bottom panel from the existing box in hopes of creating more airflow. If you are looking for more power from an intake mod you will only be misinformed. A decent item for your money.

I only needed the hoses, silicone connectors and clamps from the kit as I intended to keep my factory airbox. I'm not a fan of these open element designs as they allow hot air from the engine bay into the intake tract which reduces performance. The factory air chamber is sealed to the inner wing, behind which is a baffle. You get what you pay for. Not bad. There is another mod in my review, try this one too for maximum cooling.

cost over $40. Even though the chrome intake manifold was wrapped in bubble wrap, it looked like someone had knocked the hell out of it. I don't think there's a spot that's more than 3 inches apart without a dent, dent, or major scratch. ZERO INSTRUCTIONS. just a box with different parts scattered inside.
