Great for my purpose

So far I've been able to look through old slides very well. I haven't used it for anything else yet. I will update when I do. I also have 8mm and 35mm film.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • There are problems

Great machine - much better than before. Thank you

Stumbling over the images is hard enough, but scrolling through the slides is torture. Not anymore! So easy to use and fast. Excellent quality and color. Much better. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Quality Montage
Cons
  • Crumpled

NOT WORTH good for scanners

Minolta is a well-known manufacturer of photographic equipment. That's why I bought this thing. However, I sent it back as the results were very poor. That each scan takes a second or two should tell the user that this can't be good. In fact, they weren't. The lighting of the film is uneven. Minolta needs to take better care of its brand.

Pros
  • Very profitable
Cons
  • boring packaging

Easy to use for slide and negative scanners

If you are, or think you are, a pro, look elsewhere. You probably shouldn't buy a $100 scanner, let alone review it and whine about it. But if you're new, like me, with hundreds if not thousands of old slides and negatives of various sizes, this works really well. I transferred them to the scandisk that came with it, and then to my computer. Very easy. Admittedly, the negative holder is an opening bear, but I soon realized I could just leave it in the machine, slide my 35mm negatives in, and…

Ideal for general scanning.

This is a very easy to use, fast scanner. For old photos, sending a photo to a friend, or a quick scan for IG, this is actually surprisingly good. It's not for professional work, but I think it should be obvious. I scanned many old negatives for my family so they could be easily cleaned up in Photoshop and sent them to friends and family who were delighted. I was happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Office Electronics
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
