it is not recorded - car video

After struggling with the tuning. The thing is, it will work, and when you test it, it won't. It's a stupid camera. Image quality is ok

good HD footage, best in automotive and automotive electronics

MiVue 798 DVR is the first DVR I have ever used. I have used it during the day, at night and when it rains at night. The HD quality of the footage is impressive. It is easy to attach to the windshield. The mini-USB connection cable is quite long, so getting it out of sight won't be a problem. The camera is smaller and does not obstruct the field of view. Once connected to the car, recording begins as soon as the car starts moving. The wide-angle lens captures the entire road and uses GPS to…

    Good camera but little thought

I love a good DVR. They come in handy and useful if you live in an area where the daily commute is like a struggle. You also have every right to brag about the crazy things you can see throughout the day and lots of breakdowns video feeds - you know a lot of people spend big bucks on videos of misfires, road accidents and other random ones pay for things that stupid people do our streets? This creates a high-quality, full-color video. not as sharp as in Photoshop but pretty decent even in some…

Another one of those things I've been looking for and found and got. or someone almost hit you and you wish you had a video to show people how close it was? Saw a cool car you'll never see again, or a deer hopping in front of you. Now you have video proof of everything. All the times I wanted video proof while driving finally happened. I had people trying to compete with me. I've had people slowing down in front of me, people stopping me, and so on and so forth. Not to mention that this camera…

    Nice little DVR

I ordered this for my daughter's car and had to try it when I borrowed her car for a trip last weekend. When I installed it for her I hid all the cables for her so it was a nice clean install. She holds it at the top of the windshield on the driver's side, next to the mirror. This camera is small enough not to block the view. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the picture compares to some of my other dash cams. The low light image works very well. As the sun went down and the sky darkened…

slim 2.5k QHD with some cool features most others don't have

This is a small and slim DVR. If you are looking for a dash cam with features that other dash cams don't have, this is the one for you. It uses Sony's premium sensor (Starvis CMOS) and a 150 degree lens, which is pretty good. I've seen some at 160 and even 170 degrees, but the image is usually a bit distorted when the angle exceeds 150. While it touts 2.5k, and indeed 2.5k, it should be noted that it can only do 2.5k at 25fps, which is relatively low. Personally, I prefer higher frame rates…

    Better options available.

Mio MiVue 798 I had high hopes for this DVR as I am familiar with the Mio brand. It is quite suitable as a DVR for recording incidents and parking. The app is easy to download on Android but requires a lot of permissions. If you only want to receive videos and not see incoming calls on the dash cam, you don't have to give permission for call logs etc. I was also a bit disappointed with the app. I downloaded some emergency videos taken by the Boeing 798 while using the wipers and was able to see
