🚗 Mishimoto X-Line Performance Aluminum Radiator for Subaru WRX/STI 2001-2007 Review

I purchased an aftermarket engine cooling system for my Subaru WRX last summer, and I must admit, it was one of the best investments I've made as a car enthusiast. It keeps my engine cool even on scorching days, thanks to its aluminum construction. The only con I can think of is the price point, but as I said earlier, it's a worthy investment for any automotive enthusiast looking to keep their engine cool.

Radiator works well and does the job. I noticed that the temperature is 20 degrees lower. I gave this 3 stars because I'm on my 3rd radiator now simply due to the fact that every time I replace the filler nipple plug for my 02 Wrx (originally put in 06) it ends up with cross carving. Bare aluminum threads are not a good idea in tight spaces as they are an important part of the installation. Brand new out of the box and it comes out cross-threaded. Mishimoto support is also very slow to respond…

If you are looking for a radiator upgrade I will definitely consider this. The device was well packaged and arrived undamaged. Installation: The only thing that stands out is that the stock fan bracket barely touches the heat shield on the passenger side header. This is the thickest version. A few hundred miles later, very slight relief appeared on the shield in the fan mount. This isn't a problem as the stock fan mounts are quite thick. The relief is 1/32 inch.
