🔨 Mitutoyo 985 120 Brass Punch Drive Review

We have bought tools from Mitutoyo in the past and found them to be of high quality and these are no exception. A full 4 inches long and worked well on scope setup. High quality storage case. Would buy again.

They are not as good as the brands mentioned but not the price of the famous brands. They are excellent quality for the price. I think they are better than any budget punch set. It's the best you can get for this price. Really good value for money. I would recommend it to everyone.

I bought this kit to do gun work like gunning. B. removing knurled or knurled pins on shotguns or fishing reels without damaging the equipment. This brass hole punch set is not intended for rough mechanical or workshop use with a large hammer. So far they have done their job. Good hits. Thanks and Regards.

I bought these based on the positive reviews and the Mitutoyo name. On first use to replace the spring pin on the AR charging handle. With a second hit of a brass hammer, the 1/16" punch bent about 1/8". I was able to bend it back and replace the spring pin. I'm having trouble finding a replacement stamp. It's still a good set. I will replace this kick with the Starret brand.

This is a good brass screwdriver set that won't break the bank. Don't rely on hitting them with a steel hammer and trying to keep them from deforming as that's not their purpose - that's what a hardened steel tool kit is for. They are designed for hand driving/light tapping on pins. They appear to be fairly well made/durable, but I haven't had them long enough to fully appreciate them.

Good brass punches at a good price. The build quality wasn't the best on several of the sets that were sent to me, but that didn't affect functionality. I understand these are shocks and the price isn't premium, but I expect more from Mitutoyo; like me from Starrett. Good durability if you remember it's not a tool steel - nobody can make indestructible small diameter punches, especially with brass.
