The fact that you have to replace the hose fittings, you have to balance the tool in the radiator opening, you lose the vacuum and it's very difficult to use Robin-Air, that's the way to go.

Compared to very expensive Matco. Matko is better. Everything fits faster, you can drain the coolant. Matco is $600 for adapters etc, it works on 90% of cars and takes 15-20 minutes. Works very well. I use it often. No update planned. Excellent.

Barely fits my 01 7.3, works well on smaller coolant reservoir caps but not medium and large sizes. It says it will drain too, I left it on for over 30 minutes and I don't think I even had a gallon standing there holding it to get a decent print. Please think before you buy.

This pressure tester didn't work on the first 5 cars I tried it on. I work mostly on Chevrolet and Ford vehicles. Mostly Ford. The rubber adapter is too small to seal anything in the coolant reservoir of any of the cars I've tried it on, making the entire tool basically useless. Everywhere from the Chevy S10 to the Ford 6.0 Diesel, this pressure gauge will not work. I like my other Mityvac tools but this one really let me down.
