Not Worth the Investment

Based on my observations, this product is not worth the price. Although it is made of aluminum which adds durability, the grip on the cleat is lackluster which makes it difficult to secure ropes when docking. Also, the 8 inch size is too small for larger boats making it ineffective for larger boat owners. In my opinion, there are better alternatives available in the market.

Pros
  • Lightweight and durable due to its aluminum composition
Cons
  • Not suitable for heavy-duty tasks such as anchoring larger boats

Installation Guide.

I am planning to use this cam to control a cable in a garage pulley system. Not sure how to assemble. There is a hole in the center of the base. Is that all I use to protect? Installation instructions would be helpful.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Unreliable

Good, but a question of durability

Product design looks mediocre. Cameras often fail or need to be "played". I also wonder if it really is an all-aluminum build. It looks like thick plastic. The screws of the retaining cams have to be tightened "just like that" - too weak and the cams fall into each other too much - and jam.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Good, but not outstanding
