Good for wide feet.

After running this Wave Horizon 5 twice a week for 3 months I'm ready to give a review. Great shoes and fit my wide feet. I used to wear the Mizuno Waverider 23 and had no trouble changing. I think these shoes are great. I ride both paved roads and gravel/dirt trails in my local park, both uphill and downhill. My only wish is that Mizuno offers more colors.

Pros
  • So good for my feet. Comfort, stability, everything!
Cons
  • Caused a split leg. Definitely not for overpronators like me. Too bad, the previous generation wasn't bad.

Great looks! to my rating.

This is the first time I wear the Horizon series. Great looking sneakers! Not as comfortable as the Waverider I've owned since version 20. Too bad Mizuno didn't make these shoes with dark soles. I saw a dark sole version but only for women. Nike, NB, Brooks, etc. All have dark versions. I don't understand why Mizuno isn't there. Is it too small a company? If anyone knows of a dark version please let me know.

Pros
  • quite suitable. I walk a lot and this shoe meets all my needs. Worn 3 pairs for 21 months.
Cons
  • Color options are limited and may not suit every style.

Super comfortable and supportive

I had a pair of Adidas Ultraboosts that were about to wear out and I decided to try the Horizon. They support the arch of the foot so well.

Pros
  • Very convenient. I had a Mizuno once and it lasted over ten years.
Cons
  • The grip may not be strong enough, which can lead to slips and falls on wet surfaces.

My 3rd pair is the best in my rating

I've been using the Mizuno Skywave Horizon range for a long time. I've had waves 3 and 4. Wave 5 doesn't really change the formula, but as the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it." The only reason I had to give it 4 stars , is that they are relatively heavy. However, I do a lot of long-distance weightlifting, so I appreciate a sturdier, more durable running shoe. The airier, lighter options don't seem to do well. Generally a very versatile and solid performer. These shoes have…

Pros
  • It features a durable outsole that offers excellent traction on a variety of surfaces and terrains.
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide enough support for runners with certain foot problems.

Wave Horizon 5 is fine

I met Mizuno with the Wave Horizon 3. They were great! I upgraded to the Wave 4 and now the Wave 5. The Wave 5 will be my last pair of Mizuno shoes. Much of the stability of the previous Wave 3 was gone and for comparison I pulled out my old Wave 3 and tried them on again and immediately felt the difference (and something that Wave 5 was clearly lacking). Since purchasing these Wave 5 shoes I have started to have knee problems and I attribute this to my ankle being less stable due to the shoe…

Pros
  • The Mizuno Wave Horizon 5 men's running shoe adapts perfectly to the foot for maximum performance.
Cons
  • Shoes may not offer enough flexibility for a natural stride.

Also great for cross training

This is my third pair of Mizuno shoes and I love them. This pair is positioned as a running shoe. I'm not a runner per se, but I do run as part of my CrossFit classes. These shoes are perfect for that. In fact, they are perfect for almost any workout. I also wear them to weightlifting, step aerobics (yes, I still do sometimes) and boot camp. The shoes are very comfortable and look great. I'm a size 10 1/2 which fits perfectly, as does a size 11. Mizuno shoes are built to last and these seem to…

Pros
  • The Mizuno Wave Horizon 5 Men's Running Shoe is a great investment for those who love to run and want to improve their performance.
Cons
  • Shoes may not fit every budget, making them unaffordable for many runners.

I love this brand in my review.

I've been wearing this brand for almost 20 years and love it. Now it's cheaper to get them online and they are perfect as I already know the make and model so figuring out the right size wasn't a problem.

Pros
  • Super comfortable and durable shoe. Bought in October 2021. Still looks new and has not been worn.
Cons
  • The toe can be too tight, causing discomfort and pain.

I bought these for my husband who is not a runner but needed a regular athletic shoe that his regular running shoes would not fit. They fit him perfectly and he loves them but the first day he put them on his knees were killing him by the end of the day. These shoes had no arch support at all. So I ordered him a pair of Sole Signature DK Response insoles for them and now they are perfect. He can wear them all day for any activity without pain and I see that on regular days he often actually…

Pros
  • The Mizuno Wave Horizon 5 Men's Running Shoe offers unmatched support for overpronators.
Cons
  • Shoes can rub on the ankle, causing blisters and discomfort.

Comfortable and light sneakers

I've run 25 marathons and would run another in these shoes at any time. This is a comfortable and lightweight pair of running shoes that cushion and protect your foot. Fits as expected. I wear a size 10.5 in most shoes and this size fits me perfectly. There is enough room in the toe box so your feet don't feel pinched. The tread is non-slip and offers good grip even on wet roads. They are very flexible and don't pinch. It's a great pair of shoes for everything from everyday runs to…

Pros
  • With its superior technology, the shoe offers maximum comfort with minimum stress.
Cons
  • Cushioning may not be sufficient for high-impact runners.

My favorite long distance running shoes

My favorite long-distance running shoe is the Mizuno. They are very comfortable and a great option for runners who need a stable shoe. They fit as expected.

Pros
  • It is ideal for those who love long distance running or marathons due to its quality and durable construction.
Cons
  • Shoes can stink over time, even with regular washing and cleaning.

This is my second pair of this model Excellent sneakers

I have foot problems so finding great sneakers can be difficult at times, but this is one of the few brands that I really love. They fit well and are the right size. The colors are sometimes not the best, but I like them and that's why I bought them again. This current model came out as an update last year and I thought I'd give it a try and was very happy with it. Again this is a great product and I only use them for walking.

Pros
  • The shoe offers high-tech functionality with impressive features such as the U4icX bottom layer and dual-density midsole.
Cons
  • Shoes can feel too tight and constricting in certain areas, causing discomfort and pain.

The best shoes I've ever worn

I wore this pair to the USGP last weekend. My feet were comfortable the whole time. I had a 12 pound backpack on and still felt stable. The shoes still look new after trail walking about 10 miles which I wore for a total of 6 days and I am impressed. They are very stylish and my insoles fit. I rode this pair a total of 38 miles. Shoes are expensive, yes. But it's worth it.

Pros
  • The corrugated outsole provides optimal shock absorption to prevent injuries and reduce impact.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be half the size, resulting in an uncomfortable fit.

The best sneakers in my rating

The Mizuno men's running shoes are the best running shoes I have ever worn. Featuring the latest in technology, design and manufacturing, everyone should wear Mizuno's superior running shoes. The first photo shows top and interior views; The second photo is a bottom-up and exterior view. Check out the original molded outsole for increased speed and traction, perforated materials for breathability, stress protection, a chunky sole and stylish styling. Great! Running in Mizuno shoes is an…

Pros
  • Its comfortable cushioning system ensures that the user can run for a long time without feeling uncomfortable.
Cons
  • The heel can slip while running, causing instability and discomfort.

Great shoes!: my rating

I already had Mizuno shoes and I really liked them. This shoe lives up to expectations. Well sewn, feels great when worn. Not a bad helping of spring, but not too much either. breathe well Seems solid but only time will tell. I like flat laces. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • The shoe is incredibly lightweight, allowing the wearer to move quickly without feeling heavy.
Cons
  • There can be a lack of breathability, resulting in sweaty and uncomfortable feet.

Nice but a little tight

I bought these to replace a pair of Wave Horizon 3's which were very comfortable but dated. For some reason they are a bit tight in the toe box and less breathable than the Horizon 3.

Pros
  • The shoes come in a sleek black and moon color, making them stylish and trendy.
Cons
  • The design may be dated and not appealing to modern runners.

Good sneakers.

This is my second set of Horizon 5 and Wave Sky 4, I alternate both, very good for both short and long runs. However, after driving about 200 miles each, I found that they didn't have the same pad support, the H5 lasted a bit longer than the S4. I usually change shoes for so many kilometers!

Pros
  • I read reviews about this brand, everything seems fine. Well constructed.
Cons
  • The price may be too high for some customers

Runs tight but very supportive

I've worn these shoes for brisk walks, bike rides and regular trips around the area. They were a bit difficult to put on at first as they feel a bit tight (for reference, I wear 10.5 medium with New Balance shoes). Length and tip were ok. But when they broke a little, I felt great. The level of arch and ankle support is pretty good and I've always felt stable in these shoes. I recommend them for all but the widest feet.

Pros
  • The upper of the shoe is carefully crafted from breathable fabric for optimal ventilation.
Cons
  • Arch support may not be suitable for all runners, which can result in pain and discomfort.
