Description of πͺ Ultimate Precision Cutting with MK Morse MHST16 Carbide Cutting Tool
Patent Pending tooth set design, optimized to remove material faster. New cap reduces runout and vibration. Cutting depth increased 18 percent over AV MHST16. New side slot, increased leverage for aster, easier slug removal. New exterior red coating, reduces side wall friction for efficient cutting.
Works very well, much better than the "hardened steel" versions you can get in big stores. I've cut through some thin wall panels and this piece continues to cut long after the cheap panels have failed.
Pros
Patented tooth set design optimized for faster stock removal
I've used it for scoring steel pipe which is a pretty rough cut which has broken. few teeth but it matches or better than any other brand I have used and is very affordable. If I wear it I will buy another one.
Pros
New side slot, bigger lever for Aster, easier deburring
I'm an experienced locksmith and I know my tools. This cutter consists of a welded steel cylinder, which has a clearly elongated cross-sectional shape at the teeth of the cutter, which leads to instability in use and roughness of the edges of the resulting hole. I discussed this at length with Morse and they just told me Morse couldn't afford to do anything better. They didn't offer me a return/exchange option and were not at all interested in checking the shoddy processing they are responsible
Pros
Depth of cut increased by 18 percent compared to AV MHST16
