Description of MLA 30 Antenna Active Receiving 100KHz

Excellent directivity helps reduce noise and improve SNR. Can be easily installed on balconies, rooftops, and other places, featuring compact size. When receiving traditional antennas, you can find weak signals that are submerged by noise. By rotating the antenna, the virtual point of the antenna is aligned with the interference signal. The package includes: 1 * receiving antenna. It is an effective antenna for short-wave listeners (SWL) and amateur radios (HAM).

For money. It works.

You can tell this isn't one of the $500 MLAs, but for the money it works surprisingly well. There are some YouTube videos showing a few mods that can make it better, but I haven't tried it yet.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Nothing here

It really works with accessories and consumables

I was amazed at how well this antenna worked from 3 to 14MHz. I just taped it to the window and there was good reception. If you use it alone, you can make a light wooden frame for the hinge.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Doesn't work for everything

A good product! Works great

Loop wire is very thin and does not keep its round shape. It would be better if the manufacturer built in a cage to hold the shape of the wire or used a thicker gauge wire. I use this for SW listening with hackRf.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Volume

It really works! on Radio Antennas

Following the assembly instructions from YouTube I mounted the antenna on the patio railing. I don't receive any stations because the bands open in the evenings without an antenna. Now I get multiple stations after connecting the antenna and turning it on! Radio Cuba is one of the stations.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Can't remember

with SDRplay RSPdx: Radio antennas

Wow, never heard the lower ham radio bands before. I just upgraded these RTLSDR dongles to SDRplay RSPdx and I have a disc cone antenna in my attic for public safety scanning and such, but I wanted to research ham radio operators and with this loop antenna I can listen well. Just set the RSPdx to IF 2MHz or lower, turn on the gain and listen. Also, I didn't use the -t-offset that came with this antenna, I just turned on the -t-offset on the RSPdx and the signal was fine, so one less cable…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is ok

I compared to my attic dipole. My dipole was quieter and had better reception. It's not safe, forget about installing it outdoors unless you reinforce it. Boosts all white noise and modulation; It's directional so you have to constantly find your favorite spots for each station and keep turning until the noise goes away and yes it's 30+. I contacted the seller to try and get an answer as to whether or not it would ship as a 30+ - they ignored me. Have fun with SWL.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Highly recommended for beginners and experts alike.

A lot of bang for your buck. I've had other boosted antennas and a previous loop, but this one impresses with its simplicity and ease of use. MLA-30+ SWEET SPOT, but once you've got it installed in the best spot for you, it's a set-and-forget mechanism. No dials to turn, no settings, no tuning. Just plug in your rig-du-your and it's off and running. Gain about 30 dB across the spectrum. It contains many and many stations that you just don't listen to any other way. I would give it 5 stars…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Really good cheap active loop antenna for listening

I live in the city and my radio's ability to receive and hear stations has always been very hampered by all sorts of local radio interference so I started looking into the promised amateur radio land of frame antennas should solve my problem. My first step in this process was to look at the various loop antenna kits sold by companies like MFJ etc. I found that all of these options cost hundreds more than I wanted to spend. Then I came across this very reasonably priced Revain shortwave active…

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • some cons
