🔥 Mobil 1 M1-104: Ultimate Performance Oil Filter for Extended Durability Review

What's wrong? The product arrived very rusty. Just got this now. The box appeared to be open. I think I will get a new product. It doesn't look new at all. Sometimes I know ground rust rusts, but it doesn't. You don't want a car to have that rust in the engine.

Apparently Mobil 1 has discontinued the oversized M1-105 filter which I have been using for ten years. Now back to stock size. As most know, the Mobil 1 is considered the best oil filter in the business. The further the oil change progresses, the more critical the quality of your filter becomes. I only use Mobil 1 filters on my vehicles.

I really like these oil filters and prefer them to the normal brands that garages use. I use this filter with Mobil 1 synthetic oil and only change the oil and filter twice a year. I live in Minnesota and the winter months are very cold and using synthetic oil has had a positive effect on starting my car on very cold days. Mobil 1 has always been around and they have made a great product!

There's something about a "good oil filter" in my car that makes me feel good. Is it important? Maybe small? Probably no. But for *almost* the same price as the "universal oil filters" that are "on the shelves of auto parts stores", I can live with that and hope it costs a little more. Especially if I'm using some synthetic/synthetic blend and waiting 6 months before I'm "in the mood" to crawl under my car to get dirty again.

I have a new version of these filters that have run 20,000km instead of 15,000km between oil changes. It's even better, and the $11 filter is a bargain compared to the Bosch or Royal Purple, which are typically $15-$20 for a filter with compatible specs. I've used all 3 brands and they all allow me to drive a full year or about 14,000 between oil changes.
