I've seen some bad reviews for inaccurate measuring scales, but that's why I didn't choose them. I wanted some of them to help fix some of my splices and they did a great job. All my squares tell me that these things are square and that they are hard enough for my clamps to work on. I can even take a set.

I think the bad reviews just ended in a faulty batch. They are surprisingly square, which has been confirmed by several installations. I only bought 1 pair for my current project, I will probably buy more in the future. However, as other reviewers note, the measurements are not accurate. I don't think I'll ever need them, except maybe for quick reference. I will update if I encounter any problems

Chose it because of the high ratings. Arrived well packaged and the metal seems fine, I didn't pay much attention to the measuring scale as I don't think I'll ever use it. Put both squares back to back, not square, not even close, not even identical. As that is the only purpose for them I returned them. One of them might be square, but if they haven't at least settled on a rectangular L, why even bother?

Reviews claiming that the measurement scale is "offset" are incorrect - they are calibrated to the outside edges of the squares. Reviews that claim the angles aren't 90 degrees are wrong - I've tested them with two calibrated Woodpeckers squares (1812 and 2616) and they're exactly 90 degrees within the tolerances of those squares. I wish these squares were a bit thicker to make them easier to use with regular bar clamps.

If you've ever bought anything from Woodpeckers Woodworking you know how expensive fancy fasteners and clamps can be. In fact, I compared these clevises to an almost identical set of woodpeckers and found no better accuracy in the more expensive version. Get twice as much from this device for a quarter of the cost; You'll find that you can't have too many when assembling items or anything more complex than a shelf.

For the people who say those 90° angles aren't accurate, I just have to ask, what tool did you use to check them? I went all out and ordered 8 (4 pairs) of these tools almost at the same time as ordering Woodpecker tools. As you can see I checked the inside and outside for squareness. And unless all of my woodpecker tools are broken (highly unlikely isn't it) which is this 851, each of the corner clamp squares are at the top for accuracy. And I mean EXACTLY!
