Moen 10399 One Inch Handle Extension Review

My shower valve sits too far behind the wall and I spent years trying to get the handle properly seated before I found this product. This lengthens the valve pin and you can fit any matching shower valve handle.

The extender was just the part I needed to upgrade the mount. The price is an absurd premium for what you get. You could probably 3D print this piece if someone scanned it. The parts listed here are Moen 92507, 92528 and Moentrol 92517 and 92538.

my problem is that i took the shower handle apart and lost parts. Tried different parts but to no avail. Eventually a plumber had to be called who had "new" old parts and got it working. If you have old parts, you can pick them up. Otherwise it's a guessing game.

Danco is flat and does not sink into the wall cavity. Saved via Note C! The handle had no play, I had to sharpen the end of the tube where it rested on the valve body to allow the tube to go deeper into the wall so the connecting part of the handle didn't rub against the outside end of the tube. Very easy!

When renovating our shower room, I installed my control valves too far from the wall. After the tile was laid I didn't have enough control valve protruding to install the handle and plate. Saw and ordered this set. saved me from having to open the wall to access the plumbing. Anyone making repairs to an old Moen shower control valve should keep one in their tool box, just in case!

I wasn't sure which faucet I had, but the handle said Moen. I ripped out my old tiled shower stall and put these prefabricated walls right into the shelf. Unfortunately, the new walls were a bit thicker and the handle didn't reach the faucet valve. This kit worked perfectly. Simply remove the old bushing, put on the new one, mount the cap with the longer screws, press the valve extension and screw on the handle with the longer screw. Looks perfect and works great.

Purchased this Moe Extension to improve the performance of our Moen Chatuetub Faucet which unfortunately was unable to close properly due to lack of clearance. Was a little hesitant to order because of the last of the best pictures. The part arrived quickly, was fairly easy to install, and with the wider spacing, the faucet looked and performed much better. I needed an extra 1/2 inch and it worked great! I used a longer support tube and B-pillar extension and a longer B-pillar bolt. It came with a pair of long bezel screws that I didn't need and a center post screw that was the same one I already had. I appreciate the longer stop tube because now relatives don't get hot too cold and cold too hot. I appreciate the longer B-pillar because I can now add the center knob to the handlebar. Stop fooling around and buy this kit. I modified my shower tile to make the wall too thick so the valve stem and trim ring screws cannot be reached. This kit has a Crome pipe that extends an additional 1 inch. I only needed ¼ inch so I used a hacksaw and it was cut to size in five minutes.
