These parts for Moen are really hard to find! You can't get them at your local hardware stores. The parts came to my house quickly and fit perfectly!

The faucet is great and looks like it could last forever but I don't think we can say the same about the part. This was the second replacement set. The first replacement set (same faucet) broke because it twisted into a cylindrical spout just above where the pin meets the spout (general area shown).

My faucets had no markings that I could find but searching for pictures of the faucets showed they were Moen and the broken part I needed was one valve extension was. I didn't find the right part. I needed 97317 and they looked close so I ordered them. They worked. White replaces broken red 97317.

I have no idea what kind of shower faucet I have as there is no name on it anywhere but when I dismantled the black plastic element it broke and the handle came loose not turn off completely. It looked like the same stem extender so I gave it a try and used both and they work great. Reasonable price and glad they worked otherwise I would have had to open the wall and replace the faucet.

Our dual lever bath mixer on the cold water side didn't turn the water on. It was easy to disassemble, and it turned out that the stem had cracks where it attaches to the mechanism that allows you to turn the water on (or off).
