    Not suitable for internet connection

Swapped this cable for the one I use for internet. The internet started to collapse. When he called the internet guy, he noticed significant packet loss on that cable. After replacing this cable with a new one, the problem with the Internet was solved. When replacing the cable, the gold part broke off completely. I am now receiving an additional service fee for using this coaxial cable.

    Very bad F connector.

The quality of the F connectors is very poor. Made in China! The ends are uneven, the metal bends easily. Someone else posted their photo and mine was just as bad on both the 6ft and 50ft cable I ordered. I returned them and ordered the ones sold by Blue Jeans Cable which use Belden coax. It's more expensive but better quality and made in the USA.

Works perfectly! good for accessories and consumables

I used this cable to replace the cable that came with my surge protector. When installing new hardware I noticed my DirectV signal was intermittent and lost and traced it onto this cable. Ordered it and installed it. Not only has the problem been fixed, but the picture was noticeably better on the HD signals I was seeing on my TV! Love using quality connections in my AV system, can't believe I never thought of it! The connections are ok, the cable is heavy, nothing to like.

The gold connector is RG59 but the cable worked fine no matter what

I bought a 15" and a 1" cable and they worked fine but with RG59 connectors ( see pictures). Then I swapped the cables. The Verizon tech thought it was RG59 cable, although replacing it with true RG6 cable didn't affect my picture quality. This fault with the connector might only be for a limited time (I bought them in May 2015) but if you get a connector that looks like the picture then the cable is not a true RG59 cable and you should look into it get one refund.

    • Too long to wait

I bought 15" and 1" cables and they worked fine but had RG59 -Connectors (see pictures). I replaced the "RG6" cables after Verizon's tech thought they were RG59 (although replacing them with true RG6 cables didn't fix my video issue). This plug size error might just be a limited edition (I bought it in May 2015). If you receive a connector with a small dielectric like my photos, then the cable is not true RG6 cable and you should be eligible for a refund.

    RG6 or RG59.? - Video Cable

09/18/2021 Purchased 50' Monoprice 103034 RG6 Quad Shield CL2 Coaxial Cable with F Connector Black (Photo 1). And another reviewer wrote that the cable I received had a small dielectric insulator which is typical of RG59 cable. So I went to my local hardware store, compared their cables, bought a quad shield RG6 RCA cable (see photo 2) and compared it to a monocene cable (see photos 3 and 4). After a little additional research into the differences between RG6 and RG59 cable structure, this was…

Looks aren't everything, work is more important

Nothing special except that after I replaced the overly long cable modem cable that came with our service with this one, we had random daily outages, almost hourly with the internet . After consulting the technical support of the service, we were able to confirm the packet loss and connection failure on their part. The only thing that has changed compared to before is the interchangeable cable. Not worth sending back for the money. That might not be a problem for cable TV, but in the age of…

Bad cable ends for audio and video accessories

Trash. Do not buy. I ran these cables all over the house. Just to get bad connections. The cable TV has a $5,000 meter that proved the cable is good and the ends are junk. I can feel the difference myself. He cut off the ends. Make new endings. The signal has improved. It wasn't just that cable. Bought 5 cables. Different lengths. All cables had unnecessary plugs. Revain must stop selling this defective product. Chinese garbage. I feel cheated. Tore off.

Be careful who you buy from

I purchased this cable directly from Monoprice here on Revain. What I got was very good quality quad shielded RG6 cable with a thick center conductor and nicely shaped connectors. Other sellers list generic cables that look the same but may or may not be of decent quality. Some inferior cables are RG6 certified but don't have a tensile strength center conductor, may not be CL2 certified and sometimes don't even have quad shielding. I'm giving this Monoprice RG6 cable 5 stars because it's a good

The bulbous end makes it difficult to install on wall mounted TVs

SUMMARY: They work as expected, but they are surprisingly difficult to install on my HDTV since the threads on my HDTV's antenna input are vertical and horizontal (the HDTV could be wall mounted with the cable running straight down from the TV). The thick, knotted end of this cable made it very difficult to thread onto my HDTV's threads because the knotted end pressed against the back of the TV. Does it make sense? Whether or not this is a problem for you depends on how you will be using the…
