Excellent amplifier. for amplifier

The first one I received had a slight buzz in the speakers. Replacement is perfect! I like how the volume is on the back so kids don't touch it. The auto on/off also works great, turning on in less than 3 seconds. I'm waiting for the second to come and I'll put them both together. Update: I got my second amp and assembled them. They both work amazing! For the price of this amp I expected lower quality. but these things are top notch. I guess I just broke the first amp I got. These two work…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Repair

I bought this amp to power my Denon X4300H Dolby Atmos rear ceiling speakers but returned it for two reasons. 1) I couldn't use a 12V trigger without the 60Hz hum due to the ground loop. This amp is grounded unlike most AVRs. Also, it doesn't use an opto-isolator on the 12V trigger 2) Even with the 12V trigger disconnected, I still hear an audible hiss from the speakers when it's on. I ended up finding a used Niles SI-275 that didn't have any of these issues. It's a shame, because otherwise the

Good form factor and sound for a Pruce

First of all, you just have to know that the device comes with a volume screw on the back up to the stop. It took me an hour of cable troubleshooting to finally figure out why the unit was not making any sound. First turn the volume up to at least halfway with a screwdriver so that you can hear something. I had two ceiling speakers in the bathroom and loved having AirPlay via the optional Airport Express, so this little amp fits perfectly in my closet next to the bathroom. The sound is…

Hiss home theater unit

I am using this amp along with a Wi-Fi transmitter to have rear speakers in a room that shouldn't have wires in the back. I connected it to very efficient Klipsch speakers (RB-61ii) at each end of my sofa facing me. Even with low gain of the amplifier, a hiss can be heard from the speaker horns. It has nothing to do with my source or the cables as even with the cables unplugged it still hisses. The higher the gain of the amp, the louder the hiss, and it gets pretty loud. This is very annoying…

Great little amp, well suited for receivers and amps

I've had mixed experiences with the quality of Monoprice. I was skeptical about these. But I got four of these and assembled them for use in an entire home audio system connected to a Denon HEOS SuperLink. They have all the features you need for a custom install like mine. HEOS turns them on with a trigger, and with a pass-through trigger on the amp, I can also turn my fans on when the amps are on. In standby mode, they turn on within 1-2 seconds of receiving a trigger signal. The rear layout…

Has all the necessary features.

I am using this product to power the high surround back speakers in my Dolby Atmos 7.4.4 setup. Yes, I have 4 tweeters: 2 front speakers, 1 center speaker, 2 rear speakers, 2 rear speakers and 4 subwoofers (one in each corner of the room). Powered by Onkyo TX-RZ920 9.2 4K UHD Atmos receiver. Two additional rear height channels connect to the Pre Out jacks and that's what drives this Monoprice amp. In case you're wondering, 2 subwoofers are part of my front speaker setup configured as full…

Pros
  • volume control on the back. Built-in protection circuits against overheating and short circuits.
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I bought two of these to replace another A/B/A+B switching power amp that was sorely lacking in power and was a long way from what the gauge said even with basic driving . a pair of speakers. My two Monoprice Unity 100s are used to drive a pair of speakers in the ceiling of our dining room and a second pair on our covered patio. For this type of service where you don't really need hundreds of watts or audiophile quality they are ideal. If you think you're getting audiophile quality (but not…
