Seems to work in turntables

I just got a new turntable from Revain Vine and they offered me this Monosaudio LP Record Weight turntable turntable stabilizer at the same time so I thought I'd give it a try. The idea is that the weight is placed on the record as it spins on the platter. This should stabilize the record, smooth out any wobble or distortion, and improve the sound of the old record. The product page says it weighs 320 grams or 11.3 ounces. However, the packaging clearly states that it weighs 280 grams…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Pretty good

Over the years some of my albums have gotten a little shaky

I saw this and thought it would be something cool. Some of my records have warped slightly over the years for no reason and when played you can hear the warping. It's a piece of metal that you put on top of your record when you want to play something. This will smooth out your recording and improve the sound. I went no further and am happy with the results. I also use this for my regular vinyl records so they don't get mixed up on the turntable. I love the sound of my records and don't want to…

Pros
  • OD: 76.5mm (3.0")
Cons
  • No performance
