2000 Jeep Wrangler Great for a smoother ride

Fits my 2000 Jeep Wrangler perfectly, the ride is much smoother. It probably has something to do with my OEM shocks being 16 years old.

Pros
  • Gotcha!
Cons
  • Some little things

No guarantee at all.

Bought a complete set for my 2006 jeep wrangler. Less than 500 miles and 30 days later I saw an oil leak from the front passenger side shock absorber. Called Monroe Warranty Service and they told them the shock was out of warranty! I will no longer buy Monroe products unless they can guarantee a product that is definitely defective in such a short period of time.

Pros
  • cool item
Cons
  • a bit torn

Great shock at a great price

The 1997 Wrangler is back to smooth driving. For an SUV with near-stock ground clearance that's moderately off-road, there's no reason to spend more on dampers. All the bad reviews make it sound like there is something wrong with their suspension. The dampers simply control the rate of compression and rebound of the coil spring and do their job well. They are the perfect middle ground between soft and hard.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Trade in

Best Cheap Shock

I've had expensive and cheap shocks but I have to say these are the best quality shocks out there. I'm here when people lie about their $20 shocks not lasting as long as their $60 shocks, but that's to be expected and makes me laugh. I will only replace my shock absorbers more often because they are affordable and this allows me to maintain the performance from day one throughout the life of the car. I had an $80 Bilstien that lasted 70,000 miles, but by then they were punctured and mostlyโ€ฆ
