Works great: shocks, struts and suspension

Easy to install. Everything you need was there. I didn't realize how bad the old ones were until I replaced them with these.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Lightly dented

Excellent for the price

I liked it. This is a cheap replacement. A bit noisy and the drivability is worse than the factory cars, but definitely better than the factory cars with 200km mileage.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits right and works.

I ordered these after ordering Gabriel shock absorbers for my 08 Focus SES and then realizing they didn't fit. These jabs are solid. would buy again

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Hard to say

For a smoother ride, it was worth the money.

To be honest I had my doubts when they first came out but when I installed them they fitted perfectly. The only downside is that if the factory bolts are rusted or snapped, you'll have to replace those as well.

Good replacement for a 2000 Ford Focus

Had to replace the rear shock absorber on a 2000 Ford Focus after the lower bushing broke off. This shock fitted well, came with interchangeable bushings, and was easy to install. Can't comment on their durability but the price was right and the Monroe shocks have been decent in the past.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Appearance

Easiest shock/strut setup I've ever done. Only .

The easiest shock/strut setup I've ever done. Nut and bolt only for removal/replacement. The hardest part was removing the carpet in the trunk to get at the nut above the shock absorber. I'll update once I've had a few weeks behind the wheel.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons

Restores driving performance

Works as it should. Reduces rear suspension stiffness and slightly improves handling. There are no installation instructions (as others have commented), but there are plenty of videos online. Yes, the top mount is different, but it makes sense and it works. Watch videos for the correct torque specifications. Even if you don't do car maintenance, you can do it, save a lot of money and leave your old car on the road. If you have access to an elevator, you're spot on. I didn't do that, so I jacked

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Available in black only

Direct fit, but not a PRECISE fit.

For the price, they're worth it for a cheap TEMPORARY repair. However, they are difficult to tighten alone. The bottom part is light, only 1 nut. The problem is in the top nut and bolt. At the top of the shock is a set of two bushings that prevent the bolt from tightening. It only lasts up to a certain point. You don't need to hold the tip of the shock to tighten it the first time you install it. But it gets to the point that even holding the tip with pliers helps. As a result, you will have to

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived
