Replacement for F150 4x4 Rancho shocks

Only ridden the shocks a few hundred miles around town but so far so good. It's very easy to remove old shocks and install these Monroe shocks with a good jack, stands and some simple metric bushings. Haven't tried off-road yet.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Can I add something

Don't believe the "It fits your car " message

I bought these shock absorbers by entering my vehicle details. The shock absorbers that were delivered look like a quality product, but they do not fit my truck. We gathered all the details for this project in advance, so we waited too long for her return. I ended up going to the parts store to have them replaced. I now have 2 brand new shocks that I cannot return and cannot use.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Working properly. With those in the $25 versus $40 range, I convinced myself that the extra $15 was worth the investment. I've found that the paint, which doesn't really matter, doesn't stick to these aggregates. In fact, however, they are not as good as devices that cost between $40 and $45. I wish I had a few more trucks to test out over time, but I have limited supplies and a limited amount of time to use them. They will work as promised but I doubt they will last as long and I find they are

Good shock, great price.

After walking around the local Checker auto parts store I decided to buy these shocks from Revain. Glad you did! I saved $50 (I got free shipping) versus the price of an auto parts store (and their crappy website). I've always been a Monroe fan, but haven't thought about swapping out shocks in a few years. Before settling on the Monroe Gas Magnum series, I visited the Monroe website and decided that this series was what I needed for my 1998 F150 4X4. After a few hundred miles of use, I find the

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Slightly wrinkled

Consider another brand

Good value for money. You can't expect more in this price range. Compression is noticeably tighter than the OEM. Update: After about a week, the front drivers started making an awful noise, similar to the rumble of a stack of pucks. Replaced it with another MGM muffler which solved the problem. The new damper was also compatible with Kore. A month later, both front rubbers start to creak. I have had four faulty Monroe shocks out of 8 that I have purchased over the years. Not good 50% failuresโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price

  • Big and bulky
