Compress these shock absorbers before removing the old ones.

Test these shocks by compressing them before removing the old shocks. Mine arrived unfolded in the box, but one of the shocks had no compression resistance to install. Poor quality control somewhere along the line forced me to work extra on something that should have taken two hours.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Not good. Defective shock absorbers

A month after installing these shock absorbers, my head broke off while driving on the Autobahn. I almost got into an accident because the shock absorbers got stuck on the rim. In my entire life as a mechanic, I've never seen that happen. This product is not good and I would refrain from buying it if you love your life.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Exchange option

Huge improvement! - Shocks, Struts and Suspension

Installed these new rear shocks on our 2007 Honda Odyssey. Installation is difficult because you must keep the shocks compressed when installing the bottom of the shock onto the mounting shaft. I compressed mine prior to installation and used rope to keep it compressed, then loosened the rope after installing it on the bottom shaft. The top bolt torque is 33 ft/lb and the bottom bolt is 58 ft/lb. Ride quality has greatly improved! Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Best in the Niche
Cons
  • Dear

2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L, 130,000 miles

day 1 after installation. The old original rear shock absorbers are bad, compress easily, leak a little, come back very slowly. The new Monroe OE shocks have a 1" ride height over stock, feels stable under full load, mounts easily on roads, fit and finish feels solid, metal body and hub. Minibus interesting. It reminded me of the new rear shock absorbers which affected the cornering significantly! A-pillars, anti-roll bars and lower wishbones side by side.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • old

. Odyssey new in 2013 and always very disappointed with the suspension

I bought my Odyssey new in 2013 and have always been very disappointed with the suspension especially when carrying passengers or cargo in the rear. Due to breakdowns on the highway, the rear of the van fell off quite often. I installed Monroe shocks last week and am very impressed. The way you drive this car has completely changed. I am very happy with the performance of the Monroe shocks. The Honda dealer told me many times that my van behaves like all Odysseys. If this is true and you have…
