Description of ๐Ÿš— Enhance Your Vehicle's Performance with Monroe Shocks & Struts OESpectrum 5783 Shock Absorber

REDUCED NOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS -- Twin Technology Active Control System delivers exceptional control under most driving conditions while isolating impact-related noise, vibration and harshness. EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full displaced valving, tuned specifically to each vehicle, adjusts to road extremes while the larger bore provides more efficient damping control to provide consistency and a smooth ride. CONTROL AND DURABILITY -- Fluon-banded piston provides consistent sealing between piston and pressure tube for better control and increased durability. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special additives to assist with extreme temperatures and help reduce oil breakdown. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade. BUILT TO LAST -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear.

Superior Suspension Upgrade!

Based on my experience driving with the OESpectrum absorbers installed, my car feels like it's gliding down the road. The ride quality is smooth, and the handling is much more precise. The superior engineering and construction of these absorbers have significantly improved the car's performance. The only downside is that it's a bit pricier than other absorbers out there, but the quality makes it worth the investment.

Pros
  • Excellent damping ability on rough roads
Cons
  • Higher cost compared to standard shocks

A good replacement for 2006 Mustang

Installed on a 2006 Mustang base. An improvement over burned out OEMs. The front shocks are noticeably underdone in comparison, so I'm replacing the front ones with Monroes as well. I usually use KYB and found the Monroe to be a bit softer. Not bad if you're looking for a smoother ride.

Pros
  • EXCELLENT HANDLING -- Fully offset valving, tuned specifically for each vehicle, lends itself to extreme road conditions, while a larger bore provides more effective damping control for a smooth and quiet ride
Cons
  • Some Cons

Dislikes Monroe Sensa-Trac Shocks

96,000 miles. So far I'm not too happy with these shocks. They make a lot of noise and my car feels springier which makes me a little nauseous to drive. City streets are pretty muddy and I've noticed that on big bumps it doesn't pop as hard as it used to with OE, but it still doesn't feel right. You will feel a smooth ride on smooth roads. As soon as I leave these streets, it's not so pleasant anymore. It was an easy install and I love how the shocks look, but the ride is quiet and harsh.

Pros
  • BUILT TO LIVE -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive piston rod friction to reduce premature wear
Cons
  • Repair
