Description of ๐Ÿš— Enhance Vehicle Performance with Monroe Shocks & Struts 58624 Shock Absorber and Coil Spring Assembly

REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD -- Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads; heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual). EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces. LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade.

Not for Freestyle 2006

They had rust and are not adjustable. Unable to hold 1200 lbs. Easy to press. NOT FOR FORD FREESTYLE 2006. without packing material, in box, short. Returned.

Easy to install Good for parts

I bought a pair of these for my dad's 1999 Ford Windstar because it would shake at every bump, rut, dip and pothole. They arrived ahead of schedule, improved handling and made the ride even more comfortable than the last set of Monroe coilovers we installed 10 years ago.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • So far so good

Monroe 58624 Load Matched Shocks :)

After 125,000 miles both stock shocks were leaking. Decided to replace them with these. I ordered them after reading positive and not so positive Ford Freestar forums. I wanted to tighten the feeling of freedom and the spring force of my car with worn factory dampers. God, those shocks did just that. I feel more confident cornering with or without a heavy load. It feels like driving a new van.

Pros
  • Handy Stuff
Cons
  • Great Price

These Monroe 58624 load-matching shocks are rear-mounted.

These 58624 Monroe Load Matched Shocks fitted the rear of my 1999 Ford Windstar with no problems. There was no interference with either the upper or the lower bracket. The performance of the shocks was as advertised in terms of cushioning under various loads with no harshness or stiffness. I drive to and from work every day on a very battered country road. My last Monroe air shocks didn't even last two years. The lifespan of these shock absorbers will give or not give a fifth star.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Too Long To Wait

Great load balancing, but hits are too soft.

I recently purchased a pair of Monroe 58624 Sensa-Trac Adjustable Load Shocks for our mini-van to help with handling and assisting when towing a camper tent. The quality and load balancing support of this product is great, but I'm only giving this product 3 stars because the damper itself isn't stiff enough. The dampers seem to behave the same as stock dampers. What I need to do now is remove those shocks and buy a pair of heavy duty Moog coil springs and use heavy duty shocks instead. Prosโ€ฆ
