you are good for shock absorber

I don't know what to say, it's a shock, they work. Best of all I got them when Monroe sent the discount email I received just a month ago. So replacing the rear shock absorbers and front struts cost very, very well.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some little things

Will not fit 1998 Floor Mount Mustang GT

The shock absorbers themselves work, they are standard Chinese shock absorbers, poorly welded and not quite fitting. I had to use a grinder to shave off 1/8" of the rubber grommets to get them to fit. If I have to return them now I'm screwed. I could have just saved the money and bought the Detroit Axle brand or spent the money on KYB must.

  • Certified

Great price and upgrade for my 1998 Ford Mustang Daily Driver

Great product at an affordable price. Easy installation. Definitely an upgrade over the factory Motorcraft shocks. Driving the car over bumps and potholes is smoother. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to replace worn out shock absorbers and wants a comfortable ride. The Monroe 5968 is cheaper at Revain than some of the cheap shocks you might buy at your local auto parts store.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Obsolete

Efficient, cheap and easy to repair.

I drove over a bump and lost my rear view. it's time for new rear shock absorbers. The shock absorbers I replaced turned out to be original and were completely removed. Pretty simple build. I didn't even bother with the jack. On a convertible, get into the back seat and simply pull back the top cutouts on each side of the car (they just fit over the rounded screw heads that hold the tack on the convertible top). Using a wrench or vise, loosen the nut at the top of the bolt. Loosen nut and screw

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There's nothing here
