Monroe Shock Absorber - Shock Absorber

Easy to fit and great product. I have a set for rear and front, now the ride is much smoother. From now on I'll stick with Monroe dampers.

Pros
  • Nitrogen Gas: for improved ride and handling, helps keep the tire in contact with the road by reducing airflow - most of the time
Cons
  • almost never

Can reduce road costs by King Shocks doesn't warrant it, and after reading all the bad reviews about Gabriel, I decided to give Monroe a try. I'm pissed and happy, pissed off for beating up and putting off a shocking purchase, happy it's finally on the road as it should be nice and smooth.

Pros
  • PTFE Coating: Reduces friction during operation between stem and stem guide, improves durability - in most cases
Cons
  • Minor issues

I bought these for my Pete 579 front axle They worked for about three weeks good for a long time until I started noticing hard bumps and rides. ... I took them off by pushing down with one hand and they just sank in and landed on the floor with no resistance or rebound. …. I should have listened to a lot of the negative reviews on this item and stayed away from those junk shocks... Revain will not replace or refund.

Pros
  • Tenneco Flanged Bushings: Flanged and bonded bushing design prevents bushing (falling out) for improved quality and durability - in most applications
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
