happy camper now on shocks

Fairly tricky installation but I haven't bothered with the service air light anymore, I had to connect resistors in the wiring harness on each side to make the light fade, bought them very cheaply at the radio store, amazon may have resistances, certainly not.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Waste of time and money

I replaced the air suspension system on my '99 Deville with these. Now I have almost no suspension in the back of the car. Every little bump will hit you hard. The instructions were pretty much a joke. Very disappointed with the product sold by Monroe. I will try stronger coil springs or replace them with real dampers. It was a waste of my time and money.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Electronically controlled air suspension is great, but when it fails the cost of replacement parts becomes high. Enter the secondary market. Monroe's non-pneumatic C-pillar solution worked perfectly without sacrificing ride comfort, ground clearance or noise. This has saved me over $400 on OEM air struts and related components. The car drives and drives as before, without rolling on rough roads, even with a full load. Good, reliable choice.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Installation Tips 1999-Up Cadillac Deville

Very easy to install compared to the front ones. I did this in a 1999 Cadillac Deville. Funnily enough, Monroe's idea for fitting the electronic air amplifier to a standard strut is to remove the electronic solenoid from the old strut, put it in a plastic bag and attach it to the frame! They even give you some plastic bags and zip ties! It works out; The "Service Ride System” warning disappeared from the dashboard. For a seamstress, this is medium-heavy work, but not at all forward. Rear spring

Pros

Cons
  • Weak Kit

Not stiff enough for a big car.

I have had them on my 01 Cadillac Eldorado for 6 months now. I noticed they were flimsy when I installed them. The car lowers slightly and doesn't look like it's sitting high enough. I was hoping they would work well because there aren't many options to replace air travel on luxury liners. The car feels like its rear end is almost dragging along the ground with only the driver and an empty trunk. I feel like I'm going to hurt a car that's carrying about 10 bags of groceries. The bumps also seem

does not restore ground clearance and does not withstand the load.

I put on a Deville 97 with a bad suspension compressor. Cheap, but more difficult to install than necessary, and they don't raise the rear of the car to the standard ride height even with no rear load. The car will likely fall off from behind with a load. My Deville also has new main coils in the rear, so those coiled shocks are really a pretty flimsy addition. They're also more difficult to install than necessary - you have to lower the lower arm to install and remove them, unlike standard air

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
