Very easy to install once you know how. Simply lift the small metal collar at the glass end into the guides cut in the plastic. I pry it out with a small screwdriver. It snaps over the ball joint. Then snap the collar back into place. The end closest to the vehicle snaps into place when you flip it over without moving the collar in my case. Get rid of it for now. I've only used one lift leg which works great but I've been told to replace both but I don't care.

I put the order off thinking it would take a whole day of work to install this - struggling with small pins, having to fit everything perfectly etc. But I finally pulled the trigger and found that the job took about 10 minutes. Very easy. And now the window flies up and stays there. If anything, it can even be a bit too strong at first, so be prepared to go from a lazy window that sags to one that takes a little effort to close.

haven't noticed my window shock absorbers where they're worn, i replace the bottom of them and press the bottom when i fly up so make sure you're not in the Proximity are I am pleased with this product and it was very easy to install the purple mount in 5 minutes and slide it into the slots the reviews say only buy one but I recommend doing both. Thanks to everyone who answered the question I posted and added more information to what I was asking.
