Description of Unleash Superior Performance with Monroe Reflex 911103 Shock Absorber

IMPROVES STABILITY -- ASD (Acceleration Sensitive Damping) valving technology adjusts to impacts, reducing roll and dive for vehicles with a higher center of gravity. EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full displaced valving, tuned specifically to each vehicle, adjusts to road extremes while the larger bore provides more efficient damping control to provide consistency and a smooth ride. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special additives to assist with extreme temperatures and help reduce oil breakdown while larger reserve tube holds more fluid to run cooler. CONTROL AND DURABILITY -- Fluon-banded piston provides consistent sealing between piston and pressure tube for better control and increased durability. IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration. BUILT TO LAST -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear.

Monroe Reflex: Shock Absorber

I needed a heavy duty shock absorber for my 1/2 ton Dodge truck and the Monroe Reflex I installed on all four wheels took care of the bouncing and shaking after that impact on bumps. They are good value for money.

Pros
  • Shock Absorber
Cons
  • Questionable Senior Purchase

Drive well! on Shocks

I went through a few shocks in my "Old Joe" mountain truck. I can say that these are good shock absorbers right away. I've been to the mountain 3 times since installing them. They ride well and handle washboards and harder bumps well.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Great shock absorber for a standard truck or up to a 2 " lift.

Great ride! Steady and smooth, not too tight. Truck feels "smoother". Doesn't irritate either. Very satisfied. This is the same review I gave for the right front shock absorbers. And something else. Most shocks are painted some really crappy paint. So I scratched them and applied several coats. They are all clear, lasted 6 months and still look good.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Good value - good balance of control and comfort

Good value - good balance of control and comfort. This is my second set of unmodified 3/4 ton diesels used for daily commuting and occasional moderate to light towing. The previous set has over 75,000 miles. The manufacturer recommends a change at around 50,000 miles. This is probably preferable as the deterioration is gradual and there are no visible impact changes. When I removed the old ones, one front and one rear had slow recoil.

Pros
  • Shocks, struts and suspension
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
