Good shock absorbers for the money.

I like these shock absorbers because they are good value for money and good quality and give our van a good ride. Our van weighs a ton, which makes things a bit more difficult. Not too bad to install in our entryway though.

Pros
  • Great range
Cons
  • No insurance

Smooth ride with shock absorbers

Much better than the old shock absorbers and much improved handling. If you have 50,000+ miles on your truck it's not a problem, it's time to switch and I would say it's a good value product. -Fleet maintenance department of Makovic Homes

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Crazy ride with parts

My old 2005 Chevy van had a lot of problems, one of them was that it drove like a station wagon. I foolishly traded it for the same in a 14 GMC Savanna Cargo Van. In nine years of sales of these BM rattles, almost none of the shortcomings have been fixed. For a wild ride, I looked for reviews that compared driving performance. I didn't find anything useful, so I figured the Monroe reflex might tame the trip. Installation was easy, but driving is still difficult. At least the sharp edge is gone.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Long time

Monroe Reflex 911257

I bought these shock absorbers for my 2006 Chevrolet Express 3500 van. I was concerned after comparing the new damper to the original damper. They don't look very alike. The original shock has a large rubber isolator with a steel bushing and a long upper brace. The Monroe muffler looks the same on the bottom bracket, but the top insulator is MUCH smaller than stock and looks like it could fit in a half-ton truck. I contacted Monroe and they assured me that the replacement damper would work fine

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Protection
