DWI PROJECT Matching parts

After driving my 2007 Commuter LT 186,000 miles I thought I might need new shocks. Not me . My old dampers were just as good as the new ones I bought! I know, I'm amazed too! Although the old shock absorbers have already been removed, I might as well replace them. My local shops were charging over $600 to replace 4 struts or shocks. I went to Revain and bought four items for about a third of the retail price. It only took hand tools and about 2 hours to do it yourself. I save $400.00! !

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • I'm writing back

Skip them if for Tahoe with Z71 4WD package

This is a replacement for an already failed unit. It also failed before installing. Oil leakage outside the shock absorber body when not in use! In fact, open the box and look before sending it to the customer. This oil is well defined and sufficient not to be a by-product for production. So upset. 4 hits and problem not solved with $ still there and looking at another annoying setup because GM engineers have no idea how to put everything together BY HAND and not on a computer screen!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Have a good trip, moderately easy setup.

Put them on the back of a 12 year old Yukon 4x4 with 65,000 on it. I did it at the same time with quick release struts in the front (different brand due to availability). One of the originals at the rear is completely gone, greatly improving the ride quality. Installation was pretty easy and would have been a lot easier if it was on a lift, but that's not a problem. Used them for about 2 months and would buy them again. Definitely recommend doing all four turns if you drive originals with this…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • High price

OEM feel/great ride

I bought a Monroe Reflex for my 2001 GMC Yukon SLE. I had 150,000 miles on my OEM suspension so needless to say they really should have it. originally bought the AC Delco brand which Revane says fits my SUV. They were about half the price of those Monroes and alas; half consolation. The reality is you get what you pay for in shocks. While Delco's air conditioners were, in fairness, a minor upgrade from my well-worn OEMs, the problem was that you could feel every stone on the road. God forbid…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Fits
