Okay next time I'll get a better product

Not very happy with these shocks. They definitely don't support the extra weight they should. I had a tongue weight of maybe 800 pounds with 120psi shocks and it sagged more than my 20 year old stock shock. However, they work well as regular shocks and instillation was easy.

Good airstrikes! on parts

I have used Monroe air shocks on other cars in the past. I will buy them again because they last forever. They're on my '93 Laredo Grand Cherokee. New shock absorbers were required due to leaks. I mainly use them for hiking and they really help when working with a full load or towing a small trailer. Try them, you will like them!

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Modern

I asked my regular mechanic to put them on, he did.

My in house mechanic installed it, he settled me in 90 minutes. They work as advertised, raising the rear end when the Jeep is loaded with several hundred pounds of gear. To be clear the price quoted was for 2 shock absorbers and everything needed to install them. 1996 GC with 170,000 miles.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • clarity

Excellent driving comfort.

This kit was purchased for a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Plug and play, quick install that brought back the factory smooth ride when it was new. Great help for the towing package too. It took about a week for the pressure to stabilize after installation when running at half capacity. Just check your blood pressure the first week before you go on your day trip. Once it has stabilized, adjust the pressure as needed to suit the conditions.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some issues

Parts work well

They work well on the back of my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The rear springs were originally weak from the factory and I had airbags in the springs to support a lot of the things I carry. It was high time to replace all 4 shock absorbers. I replaced the fronts with Rancho RS5000s and the rears with these Monroes to help with trailer towing. Front and rear ride and handling are the same, which also means both sets of shocks are heavy-duty and ride as such.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • are unreliable
