A worthy option for the price

So far so good. After starting on my 1995 Toyota T100 4WD (137,000 miles) with a MOOG sway bar that didn't fit because it was too short, I put this in its place and it fits almost perfectly. Roughly because the point at which it attaches to the stabilizer bar (not sure if that's the correct term) the tapered bolt doesn't quite allow the end of the stabilizer bar to sit flush with the bracket. The distance is approximately 1/16 inch. I think it's ok. The truck definitely drives better now.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Larger than stock but fits 1997 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4

I was a little worried it wouldn't fit but it did. The diameter is larger than the original steering damper. You _need_ a tie rod end separator to remove the old part - don't even think about trying without it. This spare part differs significantly from the original part in the connection to the relay shaft. The original had a flexible joint while the replacement had a rigid joint. It doesn't seem to matter, but one has to wonder why Toyota put in a more expensive flex joint when it's notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Good buy for power steering

I have a 1998 Toyota T100 SR5 4x4 pickup. My Toyota OEM steering stabilizer was shot through and all the oil came out. Toyota's OEM part is four times more expensive than the Monroe stabilizer bar. When I installed the stabilizer bar I had to use a sole fork to remove the old fork from the tapered bolt and nut. The Monroe device is attached using the supplied hardware. The installation greatly affected the ease of steering and the feeling of "firmness" while driving. Comparing the OEM andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Vulgarity
