In daily use for 15 years - still works perfectly

I have been using this monster conditioner every day for 15 years. After a few off-road rides and many connected devices, the PowerCenter still works perfectly. It can be easily rack mounted or folded into a stereo cabinet. My only minor complaint is that the center blue LED is very bright (compared to the surrounding green and red LEDs). Unfortunately, the brightness cannot be regulated. So my solution is a small piece of black electrical tape :-)

Pros
  • understandable also for the old
Cons
  • band

Home entertainment nerve center

Too much money invested in components and the like to let a surge kill them. So enter them. I have no idea if it has ever protected us from surges, all I know is that it has worked flawlessly for all the years we've had it.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Only available in black

Works well: power strips and surge protector

Price was good. I use it to turn on a separate amp when my preamp is on and it works fine. I don't know how well surge protection works, but you don't know until it's too late. The front counter is cool. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for another system.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Unreliable

A lot for a piece of mind.

I gave the product 4 stars but for me it's a choice between 4 and 5 stars. The product did exactly what I wanted and was incredibly easy to set up. There are no complaints. My home setup isn't advanced enough (nor are my ears) to notice a difference in sound or picture quality, but I believe there was. The reason I bought this device was simple. because while I don't have a great massive hardware setup, it's decent and has a lot of money in it that I don't want to replace at the moment. I…

Crisp, clean, cheap and easy to use

TV: Sony Grand WEGA 50" Receiver: Harmon Kardon AVR330 Sub: JBL 12" NorthridgeFloor: JBL E80 NorthridgeCenter: Infinity Primus C254 Surround satellites: Klipsch SatellitesDVD Player: Sony Dvd -NS50P Going from the standard unfiltered power supply to this unit was the best thing I have ever done for my home theater. The difference is HUGE! and I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to bring a whole new level of clarity and brightness to their home theater setup. Now I can turn the…

Worth it Surge Protector

Many people think that this product is a concept searching for a non-existent problem. You are wrong. My 5-channel power amp used to make relatively loud noises at times, but that's no longer the case. Also less noise. I don't have time to tell you all this, but this is a worthy investment in your home theater.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Useless features

Monster does not support DIRECTV High Def

I bought this unit because I needed a surge protector. I could have bought a cheap surge protector for $50, but given the $160 cost of this device, it was a bargain. I wanted to protect the new Samsung DLP, Home Theater and the new H20 DirectV HDR. This is a solid metal object, and the voltmeter and indigo glow are a topic of discussion. I noticed a voltage swing from 115 to 120 at home. Why 2, well to my surprise one of the satellites doesn't register directly. It wasn't until I unplugged the…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • confused

Now that I have a few DVRs and a Plasma, I needed better protection than my $10 surge protector for my HT setup. Filtering would also be a nice added benefit. Very little, $$ more than the power supplies I've looked at (and now I see them drop even lower!). Pros: build quality, fit and finish, lots of outlets and outlet variety for me, nice shape. Consider the power strip design, cool LEDs, and meter. Cons: These cool LEDs cannot be dimmed and they are way too bright (especially blue!) when…

Enhanced Image for Accessories and Supplies

I purchased this unit to improve and maintain the already high quality system we have in our home. I'll give my wife's non-technical opinion as I think it really makes the device shine better than my words. My wife's first reaction was the LEDs on the front - they're bright - really annoying. But beyond that, the first night we watched the DVD with the unit installed, she described the picture as "sharper and clearer". I couldn't help but agree with her. I also agree with another comment here -

Pros
  • Accessories and Supplies
Cons
  • Almost OK

Buy this really improves HD picture and sound

This is totally unsolicited from me but note Revain.com is currently offering a big discount on it, (.) It definitely improves my HD picture and also improves the audio sound. I wish I could technically explain why he does this, but I can't, just consider it a blessing. In response to the HD picture on my 2003 Mitsubishi 48 inch widescreen HD TV, the HD picture became clearer and richer and the HD picture that was already an 'A' became an A+ . In terms of sound, if you plug your receiver into…
