Improved Suspension Performance

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I was able to efficiently install this coil spring set, and it greatly improved my vehicle's suspension performance. The ride is noticeably smoother and handling has improved. The springs have held up well over time and have not sagged. The only downside is that it may require additional alignment adjustments, but that's normal for any suspension upgrade.

Pros
  • Improved suspension performance, smoother ride, better handling, durable.
Cons
  • May require additional alignment adjustments.

The perfect replacement for my Victoria crown!

I have a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria and purchased these springs as part of a suspension overhaul. The original springs were listed as 'permanent' and rated at 160 pounds - these Moog 81479's are exactly the same specs. It took me about 20 minutes to install them (along with replacing the rear shock absorbers, stabilizer bar tips and bushings) and I couldn't be happier - the car drives and drives like new. I had 4 isolators and only needed 2 (the top one is for my car only).

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • not reliable

I paid $30 more for these springs just because they came with spring insulators. The isolators didn't work at all on my 1997 towncar so I left them and didn't look back, no squeaks or rattles and it rides great, slightly higher than the old flimsy air springs. It's an easy task if you have basic hand tools to assemble and rent a spring compressor in a parking lot. Oriley. I usually buy all the special tools, but for the first time in 60 years I needed a spring compressor. There are a few good…
