Great upgrade for a 2011 Civvie Vic used for towing

I have a 2011 Civilian LX that I bought a medium sized trailer for but the trailer is real crap and has too much tongue weight. My car has 150,000 miles on it and the old civilian springs are worn out anyway. These cargo springs raised the rear of the car about an inch from my old stock springs and holds the trailer weight like a champ. Ride quality remains excellent and handling is improved over stock springs. The rear is actually a little livelier now instead of wallowing in hard turns and…

High expectations for coil springs

So far I'm very satisfied although I can't install them right away. They were delivered by express within 36 hours after placing the order. That was 2 days earlier than expected. Good job Moog! The packaging says Made in USA. Good job Moog! The nibs seem to be of the high quality I would expect from a Moog. Good job Moog! I have an installation guide, but the paper is a little tattered. See the attached fragment of the English part of the instructions. My apologies for the inconsistent scan…

Slightly higher than standard

Installed these on my 2005 Crown Vic LX (NOT a P71 or Sport). They drive great but the rear of my car is pretty high now. I'm sure the old springs get tired and sag, but they make my 255/60R17 tires look like roller skate wheels. I also have 4 10" subwoofers in a big box, 3 amps in a custom made wooden case at the bottom of my trunk, a spare tire and usually a full tank of gas, so it's surprising that the back of my car is that high. I will try MOOG CC501 nibs and see if they are better. Up…

Good value for money

I bought these springs for a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. My car started to sag in the rear and I wanted to go back to stock ride height. MOOG has always been a respected brand in my opinion and I thought they were better than any other options on the market. I received them very promptly and started replacing them. They came with four isolators and my car only needed two on the springs. After some research I found that the closer coils are on top, which was not stated in the instructions that…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It worked on my 2008 Grand Marquis and restored the correct height - the muffler no longer hits the ground every time I park my car in a sloping driveway. There is no information about this set of springs in the 2008 Grand Marquis and I've looked everywhere, even asking suppliers about compatibility, but no one has been sure. In the end I decided to just pull the trigger and order it. Compared to the "original" springs that were airbag replacements, the dimensions are similar. However, the Moog

Moog springs are what they say they are. That is a good thing.

Bought these bitter sweet feathers. Bitter because they drove a car that used to belong to my father. Cute because when the OEM suspension suddenly died, it died while I was riding, not my dad when he was in his 70's and may not have been able to control the wildly bouncing and swaying 2.5 ton machine . I installed these springs on the back of an early 2000's car. Lincoln town car Cartier. The standard suspension had airbags. They allowed the car to sit "just right" (that's the position) and…
