Factory fitted and lubricated hardware

Direct replacement for my 2001 Ford Crown Victoria. Lubricated fittings need lubricating every 2-4k (compared to factory seals which have no fittings and lasted 185k miles without them) so hopefully they will last like the original.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • A few minor things

VA test passed. Check your alignment!

Technically better than the Ford factory part, just remember to lubricate the mirrors with every oil change. I replaced it along with the bipod arm and REALLY needed an alignment. If you're replacing this and your tires are relatively new like mine, check the camber. Don't hesitate and don't ruin good tires.

Constant grinding. Upgrade

Installs this part along with other front parts. After installation and lubrication, this part, the only one, does not stop making a grinding noise with each revolution of the wheel. Gave him a few days to stop but to no avail. Used a torque wrench on all brackets. I'll put another one in to line up the front end before tire wear becomes an issue. Have used MOOG parts several times in the past with no problems. Let's see what happens and update my review. Recently installed a new tensioner with

Delivered quickly, works great, lubricated!

Love how quickly this part arrived. If you have a Grand Marquis/Town Car/Crown Victoria and the steering wheel is playing/hearing a knock from the front or feels an odd "wandering" while driving on the road, reach down and move the idle lever up and down. It's probably a shot. If it has play and your steering looks funny, just buy this part. Watch the exchange video. It's really easy to replace. Just go ahead and spray nuts and bolts in advance. Be careful of the orientation when removing the…
