Description of 🔒 High-Performance Moroso 27293 Oil Pan Gasket: Ultimate Leak Protection for Optimal Engine Performance

Until now there has not been an oil pan gasket for the Ford 7. 3 Powerstroke 1994-2003 and International T444E engines, even from the factory the oil pans for these engines were installed with silicone sealant. Moroso Performance Products came out with this patent pending oil pan gasket that is re-useable and makes life easier for the professional and back yard mechanic. Gasket is constructed out of high temperature/oil resistant material with a rigid core and built-in steel inserts at each bolt hole. Includes mounting studs and nuts.

Good product . but what a hassle to install

Moroso makes a great product, FORD makes one that is very difficult to work on. Remember that the oil pan will not just fall out in this case. We had to unbolt the body, lift it 6 inches, then unbolt the motor and lift it 4 inches to get the pan out. This gasket kit was amazing as we didn't have to disassemble the engine to make sure the Ford sticky gasket worked (per Ford's instructions)!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Low maintenance

7.3 Parts Installation

I had concerns about the installation as I did not remove the engine from the truck. A few tips when raising the cab. Use either a hoist or some jack stands so you can raise the front and back of the cab. I barely had enough room to pull the pan out. I had to raise the rear of the gearbox to get enough clearance. Follow the instructions, look at the color pictures on the internet, because you could not see what happened on the printout. Put the sealant where it says and press it in place. Leave

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Unreliable

I bought a Moroso oil pan and oil pan gasket and followed the instructions exactly. Insert rivets, coat the corners with silicone, put on the seal, put on the pan and tighten. I look around and see that the oil pan is snug against the oil filter housing, since the gasket is 1/2 inch thick this gasket will not fit and I have to lubricate the entire oil pan with silicone and hope for the best. I want my money back. $85 of my hard earned money for something that doesn't even work.

2 is also leaking.

, the first leaked while this one was running, but it was difficult to fit into a truck with the gearbox installed (cab and engine on top). The Radius on the rear likes to slide into the swamp instead of settling into the ridge as intended. Difficult to get fingers in to install due to the small clearance between the flywheel and the sump. If I had to do it all over again I would just use Ford Gray silicone. The main advantage of this product was that it could be done with the motor in place…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • The list will be long.

2 hours per shift. Without removing the engine and raising the cab.

Installation without removing the engine and raising the cab. The engine will be raised far enough to place the 2x4 under the engine mounts. The oil cooler was removed to lower the oil pan far enough to clean the surface with a pneumatic wire brush. You must completely clean the old seal. I then placed one side of the gasket over and into the oil pan, then slid the other side up and over the pan mounting studs, and then over the studs on the other side. Use some transmission gel to hold the…
