nice but useless

This is a very nice container and I enjoyed using it very much. I made a bunch of sauerkraut and it was too much for 1 container so I split it up to put half in my old glass container which doesn't look so pretty. As a result, it turned out that in an ordinary container, sauerkraut remained beautiful and crispy for a long time, in Mortier Pilon it turned mushy very quickly, I don’t understand why, but it’s very disappointing. I'm not sure what to use it for.

I like it, fermenting is easy and safe.

I love this fermentation pot. It's easy to use and the ingredients, spices, brine, herbs and whey are what most people use to preserve and preserve food anyway. Even if you're not in the vinegar and salt business, most people have closets. I was relieved reading the book Fermentation for Beginners and applying the recipes. My favorites are pickled eggs, pickled beets, pickled garlic dill pickles, sauerkraut, and pickled cauliflower with pearl onions. This amazing pot takes the new fermentation…

Functional and stylish

I've been using the 2 liter jug for almost a year and recently bought a second one as a gift for a friend. I've had good results with different types of kimchi, marinades, and sauerkraut, but I feel like my successful fermentations are due to constant reading and researching the basics of fermentation, NOT the recipe book that came with it. The books are very chic and contain period photographs and are all very 'nice' but the recipes themselves are in some cases just useless and clearly not…

Ideal for the fermenter beginner!

I make a few recipes that use coleslaw but not much and 3/4 of every head I buy is wasted every time. I stumbled across this little kit after researching what to do with leftover cabbage and discovering how easy it is to make sauerkraut. Right out of the box, the packaging was adorable and fun. In fact, there were two recipe books in the set. One looked like an earlier copy, but it also had a very nicely bound recipe book. This size is also perfect for a 3/4 to 1 head cabbage that weighed about

The coating is too difficult to remove. Bad value.

I may have received a defect but the white plastic cap is too difficult to unscrew after being sealed for several weeks. The first fermentation went well, the second resulted in water from the "ditch" sloshing over my ginger beetle trying to remove the lid. It makes things stick/slip, which combined with the lid's lack of support, makes it difficult to hold a full container in a stable position. Ergonomically, the bad design. There's no good way to hold the jar in one hand and the lid in the…
