The pump actually worked great.

The only thing I don't like is that the fuel supply and return lines are smaller than the original fuel pump. Reduced collars solved the problem. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars. The pump works as well or even better than the originals. Thanks Joseph.

  • Easy to use

The lines are too small. good for spares

Attachment was very easy but the lines are too small. The engine runs out of fuel under load and cuts out at the most inopportune moment. Pretty bad. Had to spend a little more money for an OEM replacement. Now the rhino works perfectly. waste of money. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not an exact replacement for Yamaha OEM

Advertised as a replacement fuel pump for Yamaha Rhino models as mentioned in other reviews but the mounting holes are too far apart and the ports are smaller than the OEM which is a modification of bracket and fuel required . lines for a good fit. For 4x the price, the original block will fit without modification, while this block will probably take 4x longer to install correctly. 2-3 stars seems reasonable.

Poor Quality - Fuel System

As others have said I used hose clamps to get this pump working on my 2006 Rhino 660 because it has the wrong fittings on the pump to fit stock hoses. This pump failed after a few months. The hoses on the pump were stretched and it stopped working. There was good vacuum coming from the engine and all lines were tight. Overall it's pretty cheap and I don't usually do this, but I was hoping to get a buck. I should have listened to other reviews and ordered a replacement right away! Come on, you…

Fits but not like a Yamaha-Mikuni part

UPDATE: This was for a slightly damaged Rhino that needed a rehab. So I bought an original Power Sports Authority Yamaha Mikuni from Revain after having trouble installing it. 14 months after I bought it I finally got around to popping the Rhino again (funny, found the rear caliper was stuck). It was nonsense. So I reinstalled these and used screw terminals to get them to work. I see that the bulleted list now has 1/4 "input and output ports and the keyword "compatible". Less misleading. This…

Doesn't fit right. Can cause fuel leaks and fire hazard.

Do not buy this pump for a 2008 Yamaha Rhino! I bought this fuel pump because it was supposed to fit a 2008 Yamaha Rhino. This is not the same pump as the Mikuni pump which is a Yamaha OEM pump. The mounting holes are further apart than the holes on the original pump. The holes could be filed to fit but the big problem is that the fittings where the fuel inlet and outlet hoses clamp are considerably smaller than the original pump. It's a security issue! The hoses fit very loosely. Until they…
