So clean and simple, doesn't dry out

I've been a fan of Mother Dirt since I discovered the company a few years ago. I was suffering from severe eczema at the time and was hoping a probiotic spray would be the miracle solution. It wasn't because what I was going through ended in steroid withdrawal and there was no other solution but to give up these destructive topical drugs. Anyway, Mother Dirt had a money back policy at the time, they were so easy to deal with and really took care of my skin issues. A few weeks later they even…

Medium-foaming facial cleanser, definitely not worth the price

To me, this was just an average facial cleanser and no better than something like St. Ives, which can be bought for around $5 a tube. This stuff comes in a pump that spits out foam. It feels very thin and only 2-3 pumps are enough to cover the entire face. It stays a little foamy or creamy on the face so you can feel it's there and it cleans your face. It does a decent job and washes off easily. So the skin stays in order. After that my face was a little tight and dry and also a little soft but

  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Great wash! Contains lactic acid so do your research

This foaming cleanser is sulfate free, paraben free, silicone free, alcohol free and uses minimal products but is not EWG certified. It contains lactic acid, which is an excellent anti-aging agent but can affect sensitive skin. LA is the last ingredient on the list, meaning it has a very low percentage in the top five rules hoping they follow that rule. Lactic acid affects people in different ways, so learn how it responds to your skin and your specific needs. It has very little odor and…

WRONG item sent; Check your inventory tags!

I have been using this product for a few years now and the product itself is fine. I see this is a new page for this product with no written reviews. I write one! I have to return what I received today because it was actually a bottle of her acne lotion. The problem lies in the inventory tag attached to the side of the bottle. MISNAMED. Please fix this immediately. I think this isn't the only mislabeled bottle.

Eh Detergents in detergents

I am not satisfied with the new packaging. First, the pump is so difficult to pump that I can't use one finger, I have to bang my whole hand against it. Second, this product now costs $5 more than it did earlier in the year prior to the repackaging. In my opinion, that crappy bottle isn't worth the extra $5. Unfortunately, the real cleaner is still the best I've found and I've resigned myself to knowing that I'll have to pay the extra money and struggle with the bottle to retain the cleaner's…

Not cool Washes - Cleansers

I've been buying this product for many years and lately it's popped up out of the blue, probably just because of a rebrand. The new pump doesn't work very well so I'm not sure why the increase. Too bad because it does the job of cleaning without stripping. They used to sell twice the size as they do now for the same price of $25. If the product didn't do the job I wouldn't buy it again as the prices have gone up.

Unsightly facial tonic

This facial tonic didn't convince me at all. The foam is quite thin (in relation to foam density) so an adequate amount should be used per wash. It's not as thick as other premium cleaners, but it's more like the density of an in-store name brand cleaner. She does a decent cleaning job. It doesn't moisturize very well and leaves my face quite dry and tight. I don't really like the smell either. It has a rather strange, almost medicinal, smell. It's not terrible, it's just not attractive…

Good ingredients; Interesting Tonic

We've all heard about the gut benefits of probiotics, but your skin has a microbiome too. I figured it would make sense to look for a probiotic cleanser to help maintain healthy skin flora. Mother Dirt is a high quality brand that I have used in the past and this Mother Dirt Probiotic Toner caught my attention because of its easy applicator and high quality ingredients: Water, Damask Rose Floral Water, Glycerin, Lactobacillus Enzyme, Coconut Milk. Glucoside, Lauramidopropyl Betaine…
