Nearly perfect! 2007 Nissan 350Z Replacement Thermostat

Product works well and haven't had any problems so far but I found out too late that it wasn't a perfect fit and ended up breaking one of the three screws needed to reinstall. The base of this product is not as thick as the OEM thermostat housing, so the motor bolts must be installed with washers or replaced with the correct length bolts to avoid over-tightening and breaking the head. But for an unbeatable price I gave it 3 stars due to my bolt accident.

Pros
  • Copper bodies and wax formulations provide quick response to coolant temperature changes, and the Original Equipment hardware design ensures a hassle-free, direct-fit replacement.
Cons
  • Negative present

2000 Maxima - PERFECT

A few days ago I had to pick up my mother at the airport. I live in Texas and when I left for the airport it was 101 degrees. As I drove down the freeway at 85 mph (right at the speed limit!), I noticed my thermostat was near boiling point. I braked to 60mph (people gave me funny looks) and checked my temperature. 18 years on the original thermostat was a good run but it needed replacing. Today I installed this and got it back on the road for a test drive at 85 km/h. Solid pace all the way back

Pros
  • MotoRad built-in thermostats are made of high quality stainless steel and copper. Parts are designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications and safety standards.
Cons
  • May wound

Good quality item, keeps the right temperature!

. It's a really good brand that I wasn't aware of or had any experience with. I have replaced the thermostat in my Nissan several times with other "famous"/"famous" brands with the right temperature, but still had overheating problems in the summer despite all new water pump, hoses, fan and a very high quality radiator. This thermostat eliminates overheating problems. You can actually notice the temperature gauge dropping as the thermostat opens! Now the car keeps the same excellent temperature

Pros
  • MotoRad thermostats with an integrated housing are manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer using high-quality materials and safety standards. Withstands even the most demanding automotive cooling systems. Manufactured to OEM specifications and processes.
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Almost exactly what we needed. Not exactly, but almost.

As Juan (previous commenter) said, the height of the base is NOT the same as the original thermostat for my 2007 G35 sedan. Thanks to Juan's info (warning) I also bought a few packs of stainless steel washers in case my experience repeats itself. And it happened. I ended up using five 1/16" washers to make up the height difference (0.3125"). This is the big difference between the two units and the reason why this item loses a star. Apart from the fact that the body size is extremely inaccurate,

Pros
  • Replaces 2120031U01 and 2120031U03
Cons
  • No power
