🔒 MotoRad MGC825 Fuel Tank Cover Review

I would give 5 stars if the cover was delivered in the color shown. I specifically chose this one because my car is white, black and red so I wanted them to match. I also think it was a good deal and a great fit.

Not only is it not red like the photo, it doesn't match my Chevy van (despite the Amazon garage saying so). I had to return it. Now after all this downtime I still need something to get rid of my check engine light. :(

This is a gas cap. Fits in my car and does what it's supposed to. If I could change anything I would add this wonderful plastic strap that keeps me or my husband from driving away with this cap still on the bumper of my car. Any bets on how soon we can buy another one?

Trouble finding a replacement cover. Every parts store I visited gave me the wrong hat. I showed them the cap I was trying to replace and it was obvious the grooves didn't match what they gave me but they insisted the cap they had would work which he never did . I finally decided to look online and found this here on Revain. Judging by the photo, the grooves coincided. I ordered it and it was PERFECT.

Beautiful gas cap. Replaced a broken original OEM cover on a 2005 GM pickup that I bought new. The cap was sent and delivered on time. It arrived in black, not orange (I didn't care - green would be a great option since it's a diesel, but still). The lid is easy to tighten, stays in place and appears to be well constructed. I assume it will last at least as long as the original. In general I am completely satisfied.

I bought this cap instead of a cheaper one thinking it would be red like the picture but it isn't, the cap is all black. This is a good quality cap if you don't care if the color isn't as advertised but I'm forgetful and I liked the idea of a red cap to contrast with the dark color of my car. On a positive note in terms of durability, I accidentally tripped over the shipping box with my truck and the lid showed no signs of damage.

As many have written, the picture description does not match the product received. I bought this for my 96ft Geo Metro which happened to be red and thought it would be nice to have a red gas cap to match. The cap came all black but very high quality. The check engine light came on and after a few weeks the factory gas cap literally fell to pieces.
