Fits my B3000/Ranger

I used to buy a stant-lock gas cap and it was leaking gas (when they said it was compatible with my car). I returned it and bought this motorbike, love it except for the fact that it has that metal dust cover that you have to move every time. I have to say it feels very high quality, even the keys feel a lot sturdier than the Stant's gas cap and it fits perfectly. My car is a 1999 Mazda B. 3000 (Ford Ranger)

I'm happy with: Replacement parts

Expensive for what it is, but it really does the job. I'm happy with that. I put mine on a 2002 F150 XL and it fits well. Update: January 2021 Pulled up at a gas station and the springs in the lock (which surround the key when it's in) broke and I couldn't remove the cap to refill until I had fiddled with the lock for about 5 minutes. Good thing I had are tools. The locking cap worked for a couple of years, so here's the thing.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unreliable

Satisfied, almost. for spare parts

Works. Sort of, but I'd like to check the threads on my old gas cap (doesn't close fully) before buying a new one; a little different but I'm not mad or trying to write a bad review because it's a great product just not for my truck and I can't afford to get rid of my truck or have my mechanic make a different thread for mine Gasoline unit so I'll be sticking with both. That's why I can't give that one star because I knew I was taking the risk of losing.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not for me but does the job.

So far he is coping with his task. I replaced the factory cap as the rubber seal ruptured after 294,000 miles! That's one I don't like, the keyhole guard. It bothers me I think. Although it's not the end of the world. The lid is a bit tricky to actually latch. It took some time to get used to. My check engine light was on and the code pointed to a common gas cap problem with a slight smoke leak. But a few hundred miles later the code came on again. So let's look at other possibilities of the…

Not as good as I first thought

The cap fits perfectly on my 2004 F150 but the problem is the buttons. Their heads are made out of cheap plastic and, once inserted, are difficult to turn to lock and unlock. The plastic head of one key has already broken, and I fear that the next one will break any day. This means I have to leave my keys in my truck's console: partly because the head is broken and there's no way to put it on the keychain at the moment, and partly because I'm afraid he might too one day will break . There is no

Gave me peace of mind

My landlord's house was arrested and I had 12 days to find a new place to live. I moved into a cheap apartment but in a place I would normally stay away from. Within the first week, my car was broken into, my GPS was stolen, and my gas kept "disappearing" from my tank. I found this gas cap at Revain, it was a really great price, I bought it and it arrived in two days! It was so easy to use, just took off the old gas cap and put on the new gas cap. I put the key on my car key ring so I don't…
