Best price for OEM!

What can I say? It screws on perfectly, fits perfectly and is very durable! I weigh 120 pounds. I climbed onto the engine, put my foot on the left fender, my knee on the fan shroud, my left hand on the 30 inch breaker. I pushed with all my strength and put on the belt. my ladder, she tried to throw me over the battery.

Genuine Ford Motorcraft part

Don't waste your money on cheap parts! You only end up spending more after it fails. The original tensioner lasted 18 years and 300,000 miles on my 2001 F250. The aftermarket started squeaking after 11,000 miles so I replaced it with this OEM part and it was an easy fix. I would also recommend that you replace the idler pulley and belt as the others won't lag far behind if one fails.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Exact Match - Easy Installation

Genuine Motorcraft/Ford - Exact Match. With the 7.3 motor, it's (seriously) a one-bolt setup that sits right on top and you don't have to remove any parts other than the belt. The part comes with a spare screw. There are many installation videos. It even has a built in clip to hold the tensioner "open" (after it's installed) so the belt can be threaded through. Release the clip to tighten the strap again.

  • Heavy Duty Construction

Fits 2000 F-250 7.3L Diesel

Fits 2000 Ford F-250 Superduty 7.3L Straight. Fix my belt creaking and bearing noise. Just make sure the new one lines up with the holes and tighten the mounting screw. Then release the tension counterclockwise and pull up from the bottom to release the small metal bracket. I couldn't understand why he moved so little and didn't tighten his belt. Then I realized my mistake, removed the latch and it works fine.

  • Impressive

Failure after 6000 km.

Extremely disappointed with Motorcraft parts lately. Your OEM serpentine belt was damaged and now this tensioner is out of alignment after only 6,000 miles. squeaks on the flat side of the belt because the smooth belt pulley is deflected axially. I'll probably try a Gates tensioner, although I haven't been too keen on Gates lately (problems with ill-fitting hoses). Too many companies "outsource" from one country to another and eventually their QC ceases to exist.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Used this tensioner on a 1997 Ford Bulletin 7.3. The mod really only needed to make a YouTube video and a Matabo to cut material on the shackle, perfect fit, strap runs very smoothly with minimal jump

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Use ORIGINAL spare parts.

I tried several other brands online to solve my problem. Please don't waste your time and money. If you do not go to the store, but order via the Internet, take original spare parts! In this case it is Motorcraft. I spent a lot of time and money on the internet for brands that didn't solve my problem! This genuine Motorcraft part solved my problem! I'm not sure what these online "sellers" are selling, but I know it's NOT worth the time to install! By the way, "stretching" stars don't count, and

  • Great for a small home

Overview + Installation Tip

Install a 2002 Limited Edition 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel Engine. I purchased this product to replace a Gates motor (part 38191) due to Gates having a belt fraying/manufacturing defect. A few points: 1. It comes with a bolt - very nice - and a little black seal on the bolt - good too.2. It has a factory tensioner on top. IMPORTANT! The belt will not tension until you depress the 1/2" tensioner (after installation) with a breaker/ratchet! It took me a minute to understand that. At first I thought…
