It's bootiful and smart!

This is an auto part. Not installed yet. Had to get me one to help me find the old one. You can see it but I have no idea how to get there. I might have to ditch the Chuck Yeager thing. Hello Riley! Do you have Beeman's wand?

Fixed my abnormal oil pressure sensor

My oil pressure suddenly dropped to zero for no reason. Replaced the oil pressure sensor and the problem is gone. Note: Be sure to clean the connector thoroughly before reconnecting it. Also make sure the wires are securely attached.

Problem solved? in switches

2012 F150 3.5 ecoboost started cutting out every other time it drove. Send low psi codes. Installed this original oil delivery unit a week ago and have driven about 300 miles so far. If you have 2WD, it looks like you can reach it from below. I found out after removing everything from above. Lots of YouTube videos on the subject.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It worked great and of course in OEM quality.

I would never buy an unknown brand oil pressure switch at this price. I highly recommend this Motorcraft switch. It also doesn't require a more powerful switch. They say you need a special tool for the switch, but the deep socket works fine. Do not overdo the torque. If you can get a torque wrench at all, just use 12-16 lb-ft and some teflon pipe tape. It is a tapered tube so it easily seals or separates the adapter. I find a good rule of thumb for 12-16 lb-ft of torque is a tight fit plus 1/4…

It works, but differently

The sensor I received works and is screwed in normally. However it was blue and not the color of the photo or the original, it was made in Spain not China as described and the socket to install was metric rather than the 13/16 socket used to retrieve the original. I used a spark plug wrench, maybe 21mm. The sensor was in Motorcraft packaging and the sensor is OE compatible and connects well. The plug part is a bit shorter but still works great with the original socket. Do not add thread sealant

Pros
  • There are few competitors
Cons
  • I will say nothing

Don't waste time with an aftermarket replacement

A non-genuine part from the parts store intended as a direct replacement looked correct and screwed on correctly but the connector was not quite right and could not get connected. He just wasn't in the zone. This Ford part costs about $11 more than the aftermarket but fits perfectly - wish I had the extra $11 the first time instead of having to install it twice. And it was MUCH cheaper here (way below the list) than my local Ford dealer who sells parts 7.5% ABOVE the list. Note that the sensor…

OEM Quality Perfect Fit Direct Replacement

Motorcraft Oil Switch SW6357 This is an OEM replacement oil switch for my 2000 Crown Victoria (and probably many other Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles that use 4.6L 2V SOHC V8 use engine). The original switch lasted about 11 years. About a year ago the engine stopped showing oil pressure after starting and was showing pressure intermittently. When the engine warmed up, the old switch worked fine. I'm putting it off because it's just a sham/idiot light and doesn't tell me anything. If there really
