Mount Flex Adhesive Base 1 Inch Review

Great addition to my Ram mount! I had the original suction cup but as my windshield was far forward it couldn't be used. This little gem is the perfect solution. It was well packaged and came with a 3M adhesive pad that stuck instantly. It's very strong and the base is a bit flexible. I was able to attach it to the side of my central control panel and accessing my phone is much more secure and still visible. This is a product worth the money for what it offers. Thanks for a great product!

Update: Email RAM and request a new tape. Sent quickly 2 pads for free. The must I discuss below May be defective as the new trim sticks firmly to the ridged textured dashboard. I like most Ram Mounts products. This isn't one of them. I purchased this item in November which is a cool month in Texas. I followed the instructions for proper surface cleaning and installation. In April, I ran into trouble when the adhesive came loose and I found the phone mount on the car seat. It seems to happen under the influence of hot sunlight. Well designed, well made. I would use the bolted version, but rear access poses a problem in my particular case. As with anything that is glued in place in any vehicle (mine is on a subcompact console - plastic - sitting in the Mexican sun) , surface preparation is everything. . I love this product. I have a Coleman Bass Classic 10 and would like to minimize the number of holes I make in the case if possible. A common problem, as anyone with a similar plastic case will tell you, is that it's difficult to find something that reliably sticks to it. It does. Glue is great.
