Needed a quick mount for my iPad before a trip. While not the permanent solution I wanted, this mount is almost perfect. Installation was easy with a screwdriver and a few minutes. Tightened, almost no dangling. Worth the price. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a secure mount for RAM.

I bought this to mount a GoPro on my SxS. Secure attachment with versatility. I've been using Ram mounts on my SUVs for ten years. Many of the items I have collected over the years are still in use today. I just keep adapting them for different uses. They work perfectly and to date none have failed.

Used to connect the short arm and attach the iPad RAM to our Saratoga Clamps. I was concerned that the mount would not allow me to move the fork fully across the axle - an arrangement with a ball on the side of the fork (back of picture) will clear all the sensors and sensor buttons at the base of the fork. I'm just constraining the downward travel of the elevator (which I hope I never have to use) for the width of the mount.

This clamp will NOT work on Baron or Bonanza Yoke! There are two problems: 1) The clamp is not long enough. This problem is easily solved by buying a longer one from your local hardware store. Essentially, the Beech's rocker arm shafts don't move (like the Cessna, for example), so the iPad stays still and blocks the rocker arm's movement.

This design is no more complicated than it needs to be. A simple hose clamp with a grommet to lock it really does the trick to attach a ball to an out-of-round handlebar and that's included. There are two sizes of clamps for different purposes. The grommet will need to be fitted to the yoke you are using and I recommend installing the yoke without the grommet first so you can get a good idea of how much of the bushing needs to be cut to allow the yoke to be tightened. I'm a big fan of RAM products. They are consistent in quality and try to make things as interchangeable as possible. I use this on my plane (Piper Comanche) where the yoke muzzle is too big for the normal stock/yoke mount that works on most single engine planes. First, for stable mounting anything, don't hit RAM mounts. I have roll cage cameras, cell phones, iPads, a flip down visor, etc. in my RZR UTV. The standard clamp mount for the 2" bow is quite large but sturdy. I tried one of these and replaced all my clamp mounts! They are much more compact and even more stable than clamp mounts.
