Great product for transitioning from 2 to 4 or 4 to 2 barrels of carbs. It works both ways and does it well. I wasn't sure if that would work with 4-2 or not, but it works. I wanted to get rid of the 4 barrel on our boat and put a 2 barrel on it. The extra gas is wasted in the boat, so saving is a wiser goal. And it worked out great to get another one for our other boat.

I would return the item if I didn't need it so urgently. When the item was delivered the Rochester 2 throttle was not working. I had to cut off an ear. I then bolted on the carburetor and there was a massive vacuum leak through the bolt holes. I used a JB weld to seal the holes and then had to grind them down to fit. very disappointed. Mister. If you have used a 2 barrel carburetor on a 4 barrel carburetor it should work fine but if you try a barrel then it will not be the part you want. It works with minor modifications to the carb body, but you don't have to do everything by simply moving the bolt holes 1/8" to where they should be. The quality is good and it comes with gaskets and fasteners. but not suitable for my application.

Works great! I have a Chevy 305 with a 2-barrel header and wanted to upgrade my carburetor without changing the header. It serves its purpose and has no leaks. My carburetor is an Edelbrock 600 cfm and the car runs fantastic! I used standard carburetor bolts with my own washers to attach the adapter to the manifold and then silver bolts to attach the carburetor to the adapter. Fits perfectly on my Edelbrock Streetmaster intake manifold and my Rochester 2-barrel carb also fits perfectly on the adapter plate BUT I had to cut off the ear so it wouldn't interfere with my high idle setting. The engine is from a 1984 Impala with a 305 (5.0L) now fitted to a 1955 Massey Harris 44 so I have ENOUGH horsepower so I don't need a 4 cylinder and low on fuel. uses this to install a 4 cylinder crankcase on an old AMC 343 2 cylinder. I see other browsers had installation and sharing issues, but there are a few other configurations. You will likely need to remove the pins and replace them with the hardware that comes with them. Some headers like mine had an intermediate plate that had to be removed. but otherwise all seals and accessories were included and fit perfectly. When upgrading from 2 to 4 cylinders you can use this adapter. The problem is that the hex head screws that come down to clean the throttle bodies aren't designed to actually hold the bracket down. They go into mounting holes that don't work. I took a 1" drill bit and attached the adapter to my drill press. I then set the depth to 1/4" from the table. I drilled all 4 screw holes where the adapter attaches to my air intake. I then used regular bolts with a 7/8" wide washer to fit the holes so I…
