Worth it: Replacement Parts

MSD is your best choice for aftermarket ignition. Full instructions, the unit took the ignition module from the factory, drives, distributors, touch, coils, everything. Works perfectly!

Good zap for the money

Installed on a '79 Ford F150 with a 351Nm engine. Noticed immediate improvement in idle and throttle response. I live at 7,000 feet so I'll try anything to help the big block. A blaster coil is also installed. A word of caution, the box is very heat sensitive and will shut down. The original installation was too close to the heater hoses.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • So far so good

Excellent ignition system

This module was installed on the Charger 68 (440) early last year and it is working harder than ever. Significant improvement in idle and pedal response. A great economical option for an outdoor weekend rod when the red box is really not needed. I recommend this ignition module in place of outdated ignition systems from a bygone muscle car era.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Good things are best in control boxes

Works so well I bought another one. Mileage of the new engine 0 miles from the first trip on the stand until the car was broken in. Candles pulled out for 7000 km, they look beautiful. Not lean and not rich. Maybe everything is well matched, but this block also makes a big difference on cold starts and at high revs. Run it with Compufire in Dizziness. I really liked the built-in rev limiter. Really good stuff.

This thing is amazing!

I knew MSD CD ignition systems were good back when I used them on my '69 Mustang, but I forgot they worked with smaller V-6s and even foreign 4-cylinders engines work. I put this on a 65 Fiat 600 with an A112 1050cc engine that was reluctant to start in cold weather. When I first tried it after installing MSD, it didn't even do a full rotation before starting! Much better than before! I couldn't be happier and the price was good too.

Pros
  • Handy part
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

New Life for an Old Jeep

Man I love this little girl. My old 90's Jeep YJ is finally working properly, all I needed was a Weber carburetor. Fuel Pressure Regulator and Street Fire to keep my Jeep running like new. My emissions have never been so low. I highly recommend this product. He turned Rube Goldburg's mousetrap into a well-oiled machine. If you don't add the above components, I wouldn't buy a carbureted Jeep YJ. The guys who designed it must have been a bunch of plumbers!

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Not Fashionable

I am very happy with the result

Installed on a Chevy 307 with a circulation of 75,000 in stock 72 Nova, 3 joint ventures on the column. I am very happy with the results. The engine idles very smoothly and the throttle response is just terrible. Gas mileage seems better, but who cares. Exhaust noise has changed due to my bent 2.75" pipes, with a big rumble on deceleration. Before that, he cracked quite a bit, and maybe because of unburned fuel. The limiter works! The next step is to open up the gaps between the spark plugs and
